Ok, so whos going this weekend? Also for anybody that has been there, how much does parking cost? Anybody know how the view is from section 441 row 3? Thats where I'll be sitting with a Cardinal fan buddy. Also, I cant believe beer costs $7 for a 16 oz bottle and 7.75 for a draft, that insane!

I'm going. Standing room. So I'll be all over.

I park a few blocks from the stadium on Broadway (between Busch and the Dome) at a garage that costs $1 per hour with an $8 max. It's not the closest spot, but it's cheap.

To find out what the view from your seat is like, go here:

I hardly ever buy a beer at a sporting event...it's just too much money. I'll go to a bar beforehand and have a few, but that's about it.

The Cubs are going down.

I can't wait to watch another sweep.

Agreed! Also, what are the pitching matchups for Sat? Maddux vs Marquis? Last game I went to and seen Maddux pitch was the Maddux vs Mulder last year where the Cubs scored in every inning except 1, heres hoping to some more of that!

Oh? When do the Cubs play the Pirates next?

Well, the Cards better get their wins against the Pirates this week, because it'll be another Cubs 3 games, Cards ) this weekend.

You really think the Cubs are going to sweep, again? In a park they have never played in before?

I wouldn't bet on that.

In two of the games at Wrigley, the Cubs needed the Cards bullpen to blow it late. I wouldn't bank on that again.

I'm looking forward to it.

There are many reasons why the Cubs probably won't sweep the Cards in St. Louis. The fact that they're playing in a park they've never played in is not one of them.

Of course, I wouldn't bet on a sweep. But given the looks of that Cardinal pen...it could happen.

It might not be the most likely reason, but it is a reason nonetheless. Especially with an afternoon game on Saturday. The sun is brutal for afternoon games and the players say it takes some getting used to.

Curse those afternoon games, how will we ever adjust from our usual late night wrigley excursions.

The ERA of the entire staff is ranked 2nd in baseball. The bullpen may be struggling some, but this staff as a whole doesn't give up a lot of runs.

Scoring runs has been more of a problem if you ask me.

We swept them once this year; we can do it again.

First time in 5 years. Don't get greedy. You might get swept this time.

I'll be there: driving down from Springfield IL.

I always park south of the stadium, down by the Broadway Oyster Bar. Cool cajun place with a nice outdoor patio and good blues or cajun bands. Plus there's a White Castle right next door.

Parking is usually $8 to $10 in that area.

You can also in the heart of "downtown". (lame excuse for one) Most the garages there are $5 to $8. There's a cool dive bar called Jack Patricks by the SBC tower. Cheap beers ($12 for a bucket) and a rowdy crowd.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT park in the semi-attached to the stadium garages. They charge too much and it takes over an hour for the things to empty out.

I'll be sitting close by in section 422: my bosses brother's tickets. He said they're above 1st base and very good for the upper deck. A lot better than the upper deck of the old Busch.

I doubt we get swept....I like the look of this team. They'll be focused in St. Louis. I bet they're salivating at the idea of facing Izzy again.

No it isn't. The Cards will have played roughly 6 games there heading into the series. The home field advantage is no different than if it was a park they've played in for 40 years.

Well that's just ridiculous.

If all parks were uniform, I'd agree with you. But every ballpark is a little different.

Nothing may come into play as far as the field is concerned...but to blindly rule out any slight issue with the Cubs never having played there, is crazy.

The Cardinals have played there 6 TIMES

Something tells me they don't have the intricacies of the ballpark down. There is a homefield advantage, but it's no different than it is in any other park.[/b]

Ok. You're right. I don't know what I was thinking.
