Who was that one pitcher that got popped in the head by a screaming liner, that caused him to be bloodied up on his head?

Was that Steve Cartlon?

Clement

I dont think Clement was bleeding.

I thought I remembered lots of blood. Maybe not.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it just knocked him out, I don't remember any blood.

Nolan Ryan

No, that was Robin Ventura stupidly chraging the mound and getting sufficiently pummelled by Nolan.

Nolan Ryan took a Bo Jackson line drive to the face and continued to pitch. I'll find a picture of it.

Great line by Scully...

"He might as well bring chalk and a chalkboard out there with the way he's pitching."

Maddux is taking them to school.

Except for "Tad" and "Jack", I've really enjoyed listening to him. I don't know that I've ever heard him before.

what are you new?

IMO, Vin Scully is vastly overrated. Personal opinon I guess.

I don't really care for the one man booth.

how can greg pitch like this with dummy barrett catching

It helps when not many of them get on base to begin with.

but barrett's game calling is so atrocious

Perhaps Maddux ignores Yogi? *shrug*

Maddux got nailed his first stint on the Cubs. I remember he had stitch shaped bruises on his forehead for days.

By the way, that last pitch for his 6th K was absolutely perfect. An speedy ghost couldn't have ran it in there any better.

Listening on the radio. Has Mad dog been shaking Barrett off all night?

Well, I don't live anywhere near LA, and I've never had MLB.TV before. Even if he does nationally televised games, I rarely get to see games on TV anyway.

Yeah, I remember that one. Just as I said before, for some reason, I kept thinking of a player that was knocked down on the mound with blood coming out from his forehead.

I'm pretty sure the comment was tongue-in-cheek.
