One team I've been hearing a decent amount recently is the Lakers.

Yeah, I've heard the Odom for Roy rumors. I don't think Lamar fits the Skiles' mold.

Yeah, that'd be an awful trade. I've scoffed at the Lakers fans who have suggested it.

Draft Express"]A team source informed us that the Chicago Bulls were blown away by Saer Sene’s “athleticism, upside and speed” at a workout he recently conducted at the Berto Center. According to the source, Sene “blew the roof off the workout” and is now considered a legitimate option for the Bulls at #16. "He might be the longest person in the world!"

When talking about potential problems he might face in the NBA with the speed the game is played at, the source was adamant about the fact that he tested out extremely well off the court and that his learning curve appears to be very sharp.

I heard 8 foot wing span.

7 feet, 8 and a half inches.

9-5 standing reach with a 31-inch vertical.

Well then, I want Sene.

The write up on him on that website makes hims sound like he's a defensive beast. Very intriguing.

He's unlikely to be much help for any team next year. Love his upside, though.

Sene is a young, athletic, shot-blocking big man. He doesn't have a feel for the game at this stage but has shown a lot of improvement over the past year. Sene needs to improve his body and his offensive game. Right now he is active on both ends of the floor and plays hard.

He can control the game at times on the defensive end. He made a big splash in the Nike sponsored Hoop Summit in April with 9 blocked shots to go with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Like a lot of young African-born players, though, Sene has a limited feel for the game on the offensive end. He is very raw and scores most of his points in transition and off offensive rebounds.

Whatever team drafts him must put a lot of time into his development. He could make great use of the NBDL for the first year. With the lack of quality big men in this draft, Sene could be the beneficiary. He has a big upside, and if he gets with the right team and gets the correct tutelage he could have a nice career.

If Sene is as hard a worker as they say he is, I say take him at 16. His upside seems to be ridiculous, but that means nothing unless he works hard. Pax is usually prety good at identifying hard workers.

Don't hang your heads yet, Thomas doubters. We'll be bombarded with contrary rumors this last week.

Chad Ford"]The bottom line is, I don't think Thomas has a promise. His workout behavior is unusual and difficult to interpret, but I think Thomas still isn't sure where he's going.

The Bulls are a likely destination, but not a guaranteed one. Two sources say that LaMarcus Aldridge, after an excellent workout in Chicago, has moved back into the conversation. Washington's Brandon Roy also has fans in the organization.

Draft Express"]News of a promise to Tyrus Thomas caught our source in Chicago by surprise: "It’s odd that that would come out today. As far as I know, we haven’t promised anyone anything." The source talked about the fact that the Bulls are still evaluating who they might have on the board at #2, including Thomas, Aldridge, Morrison, and Andrea Bargnani, and talked about Chicago’s hope of being able to bring the Italian big man in for a workout in the next eight days.

Happy they're looking to workout Bargnani. Not happy they're considering Morrison.

Everyone blows so much smoke; hard to know what to believe.

The article makes him sound very intriguing. But I'm skeptical. If he's that athletic with that much upside, I don't see how he would be around at 16 in this draft. Players with almost no skills have been taken much higher based on athleticism and upside.

It might be in the interest of a team to make a promise to a player, so that that its less likely he'll blow away a team during a workout and have them trade up. But it puzzles me that a player would cancel workouts based on a promise. All this stuff just seems really shady.

And whoever made Shelden Williams a promise in the top 5 is crazy.

I saw an article that Jordan wants Roy.

If I'm a fan of the Bobcats, I'd be really nervous about having Jordan hanging around. He did some really inexcuseable and flatout stupid things during his time with the Wizards.

Maybe he won't repeat his mistakes, but at the same time, there's enough of a history with him to make me wonder.

If you look back towards the beginning of this thread I was =P~ =P~ =P~ over this possibility:

From ESPN.com:

On Wednesday, a source said the Bulls might be considering trading the No. 2 pick and Chandler to the Phoenix Suns for Shawn Marion. With the pick, the Suns would select Tyrus Thomas. The move would help the Suns get the their salary-cap situation under control and allow them to re-sign Boris Diaw and Leandro Barbosa next summer.

More likely, the Bulls are keeping the pick and deciding between Thomas and Brandon Roy. A source in Chicago reiterated to Insider on Wednesday that they hadn't promised to draft Thomas and were still trying to decide which way to go.

I freakin' love Marion. If you make the above trade and sign Pryzbilla, here is your starting lineup for 06'-07:

Hinrich

Gordon

Pryz

Marion

Noch

6th Man: Deng

\:D/

EDIT:

Here are Marion's career stats:
