If only it were that simple... We'd have Hinrich up for UFA at the same time, and he'd likely be signed to an expensive deal before hand. Same with Noc, and Gordon and Deng may get RFA offers that the Bulls may have to match. If they wanna keep the nucleus they have, I don't see many scenarios in which they have room for James.

Considering I would give a kidney + a nut for Lebron, I can more that live with breaking up this nucleus. Bye Gordon, bye Deng, try to sign Noc and Kirk but if not, BYE. Hello Lebron.

I'd give up a couple of the players guaranteed if we had a great shot at LeBron, but the only thing is, if it comes down to Chicago or Brooklyn, I think we're a distant second.

NONE OF YOU CAN HAVE LEBRON

If LeBron wants the dough, he's out ASAP.

The Bulls have a better shot at Oden.

I don't know any realistic Bulls fan who would dispute that. Mine was implying him ending up in Brooklyn.

I think he signs the extension with Cleveland. If things don't work out, he can walk at 27.

There's few differences between the Cavs' Franchise History and the Nets'. Not to mention LeBron's alleged ties with Jay-Z and the ludicrous endorsement deals that would follow in the area make it a likely occurrance.

ABA Championships aside, I don't think it's likely. Possible certainly, but everything I've heard and read suggest LeBron's happy playing for his almost hometown team. We'll have a better idea in five weeks or so.

ooohh...the nets make a lot of sense.

I think they'd let Vince Carter go in a heartbeat and build around RJeff, their two picks this year, Krstic, and LBJ. Quite a squad.

Chad Ford[/url]"]We've heard very few trade rumors here at the camp. Most assume trades are going to happen, but are short on specifics.

The best one floating around the gym on Wednesday had the Bulls and Nuggets talking about a Tyson Chandler-for-Kenyon Martin swap. Chandler is a base-year player, meaning he's very difficult to trade before July 1. But after that, the deal would work financially.

Would the Nuggets and Bulls do it? I talked to two sources in Denver on Wednesday who said they'd love to pull off a deal like that. Martin is in George Karl's doghouse, Marcus Camby could then become another viable trading chip and the Nuggets want to bring Nene back to play the four.

What about Martin's knee? One Nuggets source insisted that the knee is fine; it's the relationship between Martin and Karl that's broken.

What about the Bulls? Would they do it? I asked one Bulls source who replied, "Are you crazy?" Yes, the Bulls need a tough, physical four who can score and, no, they're not still enamored with Chandler. However, the thought of bringing the volatile Martin, who has a history of injuries, into the mix and losing their best big man in the process didn't sound appealing.

Instead, don't be surprised if the Bulls make a run at Nene, who's a free agent this summer, with their cap room along with another free agent big like Joel Przybilla or Nazr Mohammed.

After the Bears and Cubs screwed up their drafts, I hope the Bulls don't do something stupid.

I fear for the day they draft Morrison.

Or worse

Redick.

Ford has the Bulls drafting Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefolosha in his third mock draft today, but he claims it's almost neck and neck between Thomas and Roy for the number 2 pick. If the Bulls take Roy instead of Thomas, he thinks Alexander Johnson could be their guy at 16.
