I'd say PNC, since it's a beautiful park that no one goes to

Have you been there? I have been wanting to get there sometime and see a game. I hear it is amazing.

Also, did the Cigar Bar thing go through?

yes, i went last year. Tons of Cubs fans, great view, great food and amenities, comfortable seats (with an usher who wipes your seat down for you before you settle in). It's too bad their team sucks and the fans don't come.

I have said this before... If it weren't for the ambience factor of Wrigley, PNC would be my favorite ballpark. Just a fantastic venue in every way.

Also, to anyone that goes to PNC, eat a Primanti Bros. sandwich. You won't be disappointed.

I know you do too, but I live 2 blocks from Wrigley and I think PNC is the best park in the majors.

What if you hate cole slaw?

don't worry, the cole slaw can't be tasted due to the 136 other ingredients on the sandwich

I was at Kauffman for a Royals-Indians game a couple years ago when the Royals were actually good. Great sightlines, beautiful park, love the fountains. The food was awesome, they had chilli fries, which was a nice treat. The Royals got 12 hits and everyone who was there could could go to Krispy Creme and get a free dozen doughnuts...I excercised that option. It's the only other park I've been to other than Wrigley, and the two sox parks. I might be going to Fenway and Miller this summer, so I'll have a better basis to compare then, but I'm pretty sure I'll always rate Kauffman near the top.

I voted for Kansas City's Kaufman: very nice place to see a game. It's just sad the team sucks.

Most over-rated? Yankee Stadium. It's not the house Ruth built. It's the field Ruth played on and the house that CBS* gut renovated in the early 70's.

(*they owned the team before Steinbrenner)

Kauffman is Bo Derek of baseball stadiums.

Please explain. I'm not challenging, just confused.

Horrible actress, dumb as a load of bricks but hot as hell? (20 years ago though she was good in "Tommy Boy".)

I don't get why so many people fail to recognize this fact. When you go in that place it totally gives you the feel of one of those 70's monstrocities. To me it's no better than Shea with more flags. And both of those stadiums have a ridiculous amount of unnecessary and ill-placed bars running between seats. Terrible place to sit and watch a game.

You're right.

The only "history" I associate with Yankee Stadium is the 70's era Reggie Jackson/Billy Martin teams.

I've never sat in the box seats at either place but have never liked the railings.

I hope the new places don't have them.

The new stadium is nearly an exact copy of the old one. I dont even know why they need a new one anyhow. I really wonder what New York could do with $220 million they're giving.

Wow, that's really stupid.

You can never tell what it will really be like on the inside.

I dont even know why they need a new one anyhow.

Some reasons:

1) luxury boxes and the resulting revenue. Don't tell me all the corporations and rich people in NY won't pay big money to avoid mixing with the unwashed masses.

2) I think they get the space to build an attached (or semi-attached)parking garage. More $$$.

3) keeping up with the Jones'

4) will tick Red Sox fans off.

5) Increase value of the team. (if that's possible) George may be an over-reacting, bloviating drama queen, but he's one hell of a businessman.

I picked the BOB, now known as Chase Field, because I don't think it gets enough credit. It looks like a very fun place to watch a ball game.

It's kind of like watching a game in the middle of a huge shopping mall.

i went with Tropicana.

Can remember too many playoff games in KC, especially George Brett. I guess that makes me real old, lol cause they may never make it again.

The waterfall is a unique feature of that park, and i will always remember the sloping outside hillside above the outfield walls that led to a very pretty interstate.

i also disagree with the people who said Yankee Stadium was most overrated. The Valley of Heroes makes that park very special. Too many memories for all of baseball there.

I think i would go with the Cell as most overrated. I would almost rather go to a cell than the Cell.

Oakland has the only ballpark I couldn't pick out of a lineup.

BOB has the pool.

KC has the waterfall, or whatever it is.

Jake has the high LF wall and concourse

Tropicana has ugly turf and a dome.

Florida has the double round pillars on each corner and the whole thing is teal inside.

Metrodome has trash bags.

Oakland looks like a football stadium. It used to be a nice stadium, but then Al Davis brought the Raiders back to Oakland and built Mount Davis a.k.a. the Al Davis section in center field.

I went to New Comiskey years ago, before the renovations and name change...in the upper deck. That was not a fun experience. It's managed to get some more character to it in recent years (scoreboard, random plants in CF, ridiculously short fences) and isn't as bad as some of the others.

Fenway sucks. Cramped seats that face the OF are always fun times.
