it's pretty bad when I'm losing the loser contest ;)

Hopelessly Bad Baseball should have picked a few more cubs (sadly)

I'm currently 1275 of 1342 with a measly 10 points. Rios and Mark Hendrickson have doomed me to "not bad"ness so far. We still have 3/4 of a season for these folks to do much, much worse though.

Woohoo! My team, The Fighting Neifi's, are in tied for 131st with a score of 181. Ausmus, Podsednik, and Pedro Feliz are hurting me a little bit right now but I'm not doing horribly either.

OK, here are the standings:

1. texascub (#131 nationally)

2. IMB! (#260)

3. Mark_R (#600)

4. Cubbies75 (#992)

5. NCCubbieFan (#1078)

6. sweetpeteman (#1106)

7. SouthSideRyan (#1247)

8. karenmac (#1275)

If there's anybody else participating, check your results and post your national standing and I'll edit the list. I'll probably do another update at the All-Star break.

Down to 1165. :(

I picked the wrong Cub outfielder for my team. Jones is playing like an All-Star right now, while Pierre sucks so much he's in the top 10 for Hacking Mass points.

My team's ESPN has gone up 5 points to 186, but my rank has dropped to a tie for 212th place.

I have 187 points for a rank of 216. Texascub now has 172 for a rank of 303. I am the all-important June 8th leader!

Update because I'm up to 56th place with an ESPN of 278

Damn you! I'm all the way down to 202 with an ESPN of 235. Chris Duffy was a moron and got himself placed on the restricted list. Pedro Feliz has also come to life as of late but I'm hoping he'll drop soon....I'll catch up with you one day, sethuel!

All-Star break seems like a good time to update the standings again. If everybody will post their overall ranking within the next couple of days, I'll put them together in the form of standings for us. My team is now down to #1107. :(

The "top" 10 major league players (pitchers and hitters ranked together):

1. Rodrigo Lopez

2. Josh Towers

3. Clint Barmes

4. Carlos Silva

5. RonDL White

6. Seth McClung

7. Brian Mohler, Joe Mays (tie)

9. GlenDone Rusch

10. Angel Berroa

I don't know if these rankings are updated through Sunday's games. If not, Rusch's failure to suck may cause him to fall out of the top 10.

I'm at 606 right now...

Adrian Gonzalez, Xavier Nady, and Chan Ho Park are killing me... and Izturis getting injured and Batista getting cut are killing me...

My team is now in a 8-way tie for 292th place with an ESPN of 262. Pedro Feliz and Bernie Williams aren't helping me much, and Casey Fossum is also doing better than I need him to.

I'm in 98th with an ESPN of 307. Jacque Jones is my only hitter with a negative score, and my infield (Brad Ausmus, Bernie Williams, Kaz Matsui, Angel Berroa, Vinny Castilla) is stunningly bad, with those 5 compiling an ESPN of 233 all on their own.

When did Scott Hatteberg get good again?

I don't know, but him and Bronson Arroyo are destroying my HACKING MASS team. Its bad enough I'm ranked 1256. Bleh. I'll do better next year! Or maybe the Reds will crater and my team will get back to respectability.
