Not in the elite 8, but I did have GMU over MSU in rd 1 though - despite being a Big10 homer most of the time. A complete luck pick on my part.

 

I hope UCONN destroys Washington. I'm still bitter about the Illini loss in rd2. :x That and if UCONN wins, my Final Four survives intact into the Elite 8.

Don't go there, Cali. They both did ample jawing, and the refs spoke to them both about their uber-physicality.

Illinois hit all their shots and made some big plays in the end. Not to give them credit for coming back and doing everything to get back in that game is fine but I disagree with you. Sure, Arizona missed some free throws, didn't attack the basketball, and was lazy on offense, but give Illinois credit for drilling three 3 pointers, getting three critical steals, and for making the comeback. That game better be on ESPN classic this week.

 

Oh, I give Illinois credit, they did hit their shots, and they had a lot to do with winning that game. But Arizona didn't play to win, they played not to lose. The Illinois steals you saw looked more like horrible passes from Arizona to me. They had a complete breakdown at the end of the game. I'm not taking anything away from Illinois, but it looked to me like Arizona just choked. Like I said, it depends on what side of the fence you sit. Illinois fans saw a tremendous comeback. Non-Illinois fans saw a tremendous collapse. Either way it was still a great game, and yes, should be an ESPN Classic.

 

I don't think I'd be classified as an Illinois fan and I don't think it was just a tremendous collapse. Illinois had a major role to play, getting those steals and making those shots. As someone else said, any great comeback usually has a collapse involve (and vice versa).

I too had GMU beating MSU in round 1, but I expected UNC to stomp them in round 2.

I nearly had the Mason/Wichita matchup at least, though I would've went with Wichita. I thought UNC was really overrated and had whoever I was taking with that MSU/GM game beating them. I went back and forth on it but settled on MSU.

 

I had Wichita in the Sweet 16 cause Tennessee sucks.

I'd also like to see the Big East represent a little bit by getting 3 Elite 8 teams. (They should have 4 :twisted: )

The refs have single-handedly ruined this game. The flow is awful because they insist on calling every little ticky-tack foul.
