Washington HS in Washington, PA is nicknamed the Presidents. Prexies for short. That would work.

 

I think the name change is good for the Nationals. Heck, they led the majors in merchandise sales last year by having the newest stuff on the block. Change the name, more new merchandise to sell.

I'm sick of the cute little DC "Generals", "Senators", "Nationals" puns. Can't we give them a regular nickname? If we're just going to name teams after people that live or work there, then why not Florida Retirees, Pittsburgh Steel-Workers, L.A. Rich People, Seattle Coffee Drinkers, etc?
