  1. The Ford GMAC Citibank Player's presented by Pizza Hut?
  2. "That's a good idea" "I agree. It's better than Morgan/??????" See--much better. I can't wait! :D
  3. My vote is we import some world broadcasters too. I'd much rather try my hand at Japanese or Spanish than listen to Joe Morgan and the Fox collective.
  4. Can we get Dusty some heavy meds in the meantime?
  5. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2210204 Hmmm...I'm thinking Mr. Fehr and the boys hoped everyone would forget about that "by the end of the Series" comment. Thoughts?
  6. another fine example of how our players and coaches are on the same page!!! Yeah--one takes accountability for his actions! What's he thinking???
  7. OMG, I'm hoping Baker doesn't it. Seriously, I don't know if I can handle 2-3 more years of him. It's beginning to sound like that's the best we can hope for. Bruce, with all sincerity, thanks for the insight. Are the injuries letting Dusty off the hook, and if so, how can that warrant an extension?
  8. Perhaps "SOS--Abandon Ship" would be more appropriate.
  9. No--the other 128 this year did.
  10. Dusty is pathetic. OK, it's just time to laugh about the Cubs again. HA! I want a $100 million organization I can run this way...
  11. Oh, Good Lord, don't say that !!! GIDP?
  12. Sammy and Rickey Henderson could start a "past expiration date" league...
  13. This is just sad--I'm beginning to feel like 2003 was the worst thing that ever happened to the Cubs. 1. The front office let go of the patient building approach thinking they were one or two steps from a World Series. (Previous point from Vance--right on) 2. The public and the front office thought Dusty had everything to do with the 2003 success. They blindly think there's a World Series around the corner and keep the seats filled. 3. Dusty "earns" enough capital to fill out the lineup card and use his pitching staff as he sees fit. Those who call him out (Stoney and others) fight (and lose) an uphill battle despite the facts. It was fun to love the Cubs unconditionally for last two and a half decades growing up as a kid, but I've got better things to do than throw money, emotion, and time at an incompetent organition. I do enough of that at work! I love baseball and the Wrigley experience, but I guess I need to go back to just checking the box score every other week for my own sanity.
  14. So, how do we send the message to the front office that this is unsat?
