The good news for the US just keeps on coming:

http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jun8k.html

Not having to face Nedved would be a GIGANTIC boost.

There's also an article up about Arena not buying all the Czech injury news.

Also, I can't figure out how to insert a picture in my sig. It's driving me nuts.

same way you put a picture in a post.

I don't think I've ever done that, either .

yeah, he seems to be ok. But if he's not 100%, it's a big boost. he'll drive the majority of the Czech attack.

If Mastroeni starts, Nedved is going to be red carded by the end of the game. Between Mastro's tenacity and Nedved's habitual retaliation, we should be in good shape.

Ditto for Totti, now that I think about it.

I would've said the same thing about Totti about 6 months ago, but he seemed to mellow out after his kid was born. Of course, it might've also been the winning streak Roma was on at the time. I guess we'll see.

I'm actually starting to get really confident about the US, as long as the back line holds. Everything is breaking our way thus far. /knock on wood.

I am getting excited for the World Cup to get started. I really am not a soccer fan at all but love watching athletes at the highest form in any sport. Throw in playing for there country, sounds good.

It's ok if you're not a soccer fan. It's the biggest sporting event in the world, bar none. The olympics aren't even close. That alone is something to get excited about.

So a country would rather win the WC in soccer than the Olympic gold medal in soccer. (Serious Question)

Oh, by miles. The Olympics is like the Arena Bowl compared to the World Cup's Super Bowl, times 100,000

The Olympic games don't even count as an international team appearance (aka cap) for your country.

Watching the replays of the Portugal and Mexico games in the 2002 World Cup has me really psyched. I hope one day I can go to a game here in the U.S. What cities had the World Cup when they were in the U.S.?

Pasadena had the championship. I went (I was a wee little lad of 11 at the time). :)
