I was just looking to see what would be on TV tonight, and CSN is broadcasting a Rockies @ Cubs game. Doesn't say which year, which game. Anyone have details, and why it's being shown on Feb 13?!

I think it's from last year. 5/28

Could be the game Prior gets hurt

Rusch is pitching in this one. My initial guess is that D Lee goes nuts offensively in that game. Of course that describes most Cubs games last year :D

They said on CSN in the lead-in that this was the day after the Prior injury and the day Hawkins was traded.

I just looked up the highlights on Cubs.com, and DLEE had 2 homers (and 4 in his last 5 ABs), and had the LEN quote that is in the comcast commercials "He has done it yet again!".

OH and this was the start of the Cubs offense and DLEE in particular going completely nuts and the awesome west coast road trip was next (where they went 6-1).

Anyone know if they are going to do this more often? I like it.

In about 6 weeks they'll start playing Cubs games almost every day.

Yes, but by "this" I meant show games leading up to the season.

I know, just pulling your leg. I don't live near Chicago so I have no idea.

They'll be showing a 2-1 Cubs victory on Saturday at 3. This was one of the original plans that was tossed around when CSNC was starting up. Hopefully they do it more, but with games that were actually good. The one on Saturday doesn't look very special.

Be thankful you guys get CSN. My cable company has it's head up it's @ss and tell us we get CSN even though we don't. :x

Be thankful that you don't have rabbit ear antennae in Los Angeles, thereby ensuring that you will never get to watch a Cubs game at all, ever. I'm really bummed about it. It's my first season out here.

My favorite part of going to school here is that we aren't close enough to get CSN Chicago, but we are close enough to have any Cubs game scheduled to be on ESPN blacked out. I love the politics of regional TV.

Same here. Cable says we get CSN, but we don't. However, since we could get CSN, all ESPN games are blacked out.

I'm moving north.

I've got MLB.tv, so I can watch any of the Cubs games from last year when I want. I sometimes do, as well.

I heard that MLB.TV even blacks out Chicago games in the Chicago area, making it completely useless if I were to get it. Is this true?

Yes it's true. I have looked into it before. I am a local market for many teams. Since I am about 5 hours from a lot of major cities in the midwest. I live and die by the Cubs but kinda like the Twins (My American League team) so I wanted to see if I could watch them on MLB TV. Getting the Cubs where I live has never been a problem.

Isn't there some way to get around the MLB.tv blackout, I think there was a thread on it but with search disabled I have no idea where to start looking.

I really want to get MLB.tv as i'm in Chicago and don't get Comcast, and I also want to follow a couple of other teams a little closer
