I wonder how far Nolasco and Pinto would go towards Miguel if we still had them. Would Baltimore be mostly looking for big league-ready pitching?

OMG, Jim, PLEASE!!?

Pierre

Cedeno

Lee

Ramirez

Tejada

Bradley

Murton

Barrett

!!!

I would put Miggy ahead of Aramis.

He's not a better a hitter, so I'm not sure what justification you have for doing so.

why does he want out? the O's are spending money. mazzone going to Baltimore doesn't imply that things are going in the wrong direction. they just got hernandez. what is this clown whining about?

Spending money but they continue to largely ignore pitching. Plus, now that he has the huge contract, playing in the same division with the Yankees and Red Sox might not be that attractive.

Of course, you never know how he's going to feel in a week.

I'm not crazy about the Pierre trade for just that reason. Nolasco and Pinto would make very valuable trade commodities in dealing for a real difference maker like Tejada. If Hendry is refusing to part with Hill and Pie, I don't know what the Cubs would have to put together to make a realistic offer.

Give them whatever they ask for except Prior and Z-ANYONE!!

R.Hill+J.Williams+Pie+Cedeno for Tejada-

Thats our 2 best position prospects, best pitching prospect and a young experienced arm for arguably the most productive SS in baseball-Heck, throw in Cpatt in need be-I could get really used to an infield of Lee-TWalk-Tejada-Ramirez.....really used to it

This is why you stockpile talent in the minors, Mr. Hendry. Please, please, please take advantage of our incredible window with the starting rotation.

Hell, I'd be willing to throw in J Hairston Jr if that's what it'd take to put them over the top, eh?

Wow - I think if I were the orioles, I'd hop on that offer in a heartbeat.

The problem is they would want Prior or Zambrano. And that is for starters

Tejada is the real deal and has a decent contract.

The ironc thing is that LA has the prospects and with Lowe perhaps the starting pitching to maybe swing the deal.

But now they have the 13 million dollar man at SS.

I wonder what billiant poster thought of this a while back and was ridiculed and mocked in the senate!!! Mocked I say!

I would give the O's 5 young players and take a bad contract.

I doubt they would want to make a "rebuilding" type trade.

I completely agree with everything you have said, the conversation begins and ends at prior/z.

What do they possibly have to compete now with the Yankees, Red Sox and even Jays? This team needs to be rebuilt the right way and Tejada would give them a lot of bang for the buck.

If only we still had Macias to throw in.

I'll see you bid and raise two bad contracts

unfortunately for those scenarios the Os don't have any bad contracts. They might want to get out of Lopez now, but thats only 8.5M for one year. Which isnt a bad deal at all anymore, since he will be used properly.
