Woudl it help the site's performance if you deleted the Team Reports forum? It was a great idea at the time, but it's been dormant for about 2 years now, and it might help the capacity issue.

It's pretty easy if you have a development background and know about how to develop for the web. I, of course, have had exactly one programming course approximately 19 years ago and it was in Fortran!

I think when I was a 6th graded they showed us how to program in BASIC. :D

 

I'm reading an online tutorial right now. It doesn't look that hard once you've mastered a basic set of commands.

 

EDIT-nevermind! It's a lot harder than just that!

When I was in elementary school we learned to write a program in basic that made your name run up and down the screen in an infinite loop. That's the extent of my programming ability.

My first year of college we used punch cards for the computers. Good old Business 181.

I spent two summers helping to teach kids to program in Logo using Microworlds software. Now that's where it's at.

 

Of course, some of the games they made were quite violent.

To be fair, they still offer courses in Fortran, Cobol and Pascal at UCLA.
