  1. Yes, he's a junior and is coming soon to an Oakland Raiders or Tampa Bay Buccaneers near you. Thanks. I assume that Tampa would get him and the Raiders would want a QB or is Simms done for his career?
  2. I can't decide if that makes it more likely that GT will win in the Gator Bowl or lose-my first instinct was like when any starting QB goes out, that this would make them much more vulnerable-when I stopped to think about it, I'm not so sure about it-depending on Bennett's talent level, it might actually make them better, especially if Bennett will get the ball to Calvin Johnson. Bennett is a much better pocket passer than Ball - much better. He can't make a play or run for 8 yards and pick up a 3rd and 7 as Ball could. My question is whether Nix will open up the offense for Bennett. Bennett throws a really nice ball down the field and Tech is going to have to score TD's to win this game. Ball's anticlimatic exit has many feeling sorry for him as a basically wasted away his senior year of college. But, it seems to have energized the fan base to see what Bennett can do as he's going to be the QB the next 2 years. Is Johnson a Junior? That kids a heck of a player.
  3. Was he part of the Cowboy Up thing while he was in Boston?
  4. I think it's because he's so anxious to get rid of Jones entirely. I agree with you. Hendry would rather have a hurt bird in the hand than a worm killer in the bush.
  5. huh? I read one thread and wrote in another....opps!
  6. How close to being right was James last year?
  7. This post captures every single reason why i hate the Big Least and their fans. MSU won it in 2000, which is this century. From 2000-2006, the Big 10 put 6 entries into the Final Four. The only conference that had more was the ACC at 7. The Big Least had a total of 2 (Marq/Louis dont count b/c they were in the CUSA at the time). And just because somehow someway those teams did win championships, they think they are the best conference in all of collegiate basketball- not minding the fact they didnt win a single championship from 1985 to 1999. The Big Least has no balance and no depth. They are more of a mercurial phenomenon than a power conference and i wish their fans would start to understand this. Just by calling it the "Big Least" proves you have an inferiority complex. Maybe someday you can play with the big boys again, someday. It is so hard to compare conferences now that you guys have become the AFC. Seriously 18 teams? The Big Ten has been is a ton of final fours, so it isn't like we aren't in the running. Kind of like how the Big 10 has 3 more teams in football?
  8. I was simply commenting on the mocking of the name. It really doesn't matter to me if you care or not.

  10. I just don't want to hear any Dusty-like comments that everybody has a clean slate and he needs to see what these guys will do for him before making any decisions. There is enough evidence out there to come to conclusions about these guys long before April. Lou doesn't need to see Izturis fail mightily for 3 months to realize he shouldn't be hitting near the top of the lineup. I agree that Izturis shouldn't hit anywhere but 8th but maybe Lou is just giving him a little respect by saying this.
  11. Isn't he a MacPhail guy?
  12. IMO he's just thinking out loud. Whenever I have my team I have a basic idea on what I'm going to do before the season starts and it often changes once the season does indeed start.
  13. I can tell you exactly how he will do in 2006. I'm not so sure about 2007 though.
  14. His name is Rios, there's no need to understand.
  15. He should come go to the Cubs and wear number 21.
  16. They've got a heck of a team this year. Good luck to ya laddie!
  17. Pitt always plays a terrible schedule and is overrated. Maybe sometime this century the Big 10 will win a National Championship? Do you think? I think someone will this January. They should also be playing another Big Ten team for the title. I beleive we had a basketball team that would have won if not for standing within two feet of Sean May being a foul. Thanks to the "voters". Basketball is determined on the court. I do realize how frustrating it is when refs take over a game but unfortunately it happens.
  18. Let's not forget the BEST #31 in the Maddux-less years... KEVIN FOSTER! I was rooting for that kid. Don't ask why. I moved Foster to the closer role in Strat-O-Matic years ago and he was dominate. I really think that was his true role.
  19. Well I have to say it would be nice to have an OF'er that could actually throw out a baserunner. I think he's in Colorado to stay because of Clints love of the small ball.
  20. I don't like Drew cause he's always hurt and I hope the Cubs sign Floyd.

  22. Maybe they are trying to convince people he is major leauge ready so they can trade him? Yeah...like for that Miggy guy that plays for Florida! It's possible that Hendry wants to move him. I'm curious on who he'd want to get.
  23. I think it's a smart move to say that so maybe they won't look desparate looking for a CF.
  24. If Boston signs him and then Clemens they would have a pretty decent pitching staff.
  25. Gange just got 6 and he hasn't pitched in 2 years. I see no reason why he can't get 12 or more.
