If Z does not want to sign with the Cubs I would try to move him for ARod in a 3 way deal: Cubs get: ARod (Cubs pay all of his salary) and #3 or #4 pitcher from Yanks Yanks get: Z, Cedeno/Izturis, Ohman, Moore, pitching prospect and a third baseman from undeclosed team Undeclosed team: Young pitching prospects (maybe some of the ones in the D-Backs deal) from Yanks, and prospects from Cubs. The key to me is to find a team that has a decent 3rd baseman to be able to be that third team. It does leave the Cubs without a #1 pitcher but it gives the Cubs more of a lineup to build upon and if Hill does indeed step up like last year they would have their #1. Hill, Marques, Lilly, Guy from Yanks, and who ever steps up between Miller, Prior, and the M boys. Question marks? Yes. But a lineup of: Soriano Murton ARod Lee Rameriz Barrett Jones DeRosa Would be wonderful.
