  1. And Maurer swings at ball 2 for the first out.
  2. If I’m the Twins, I keep the bat on the shoulder until Chatwalk strikes out the side. Twins oughta get 2-3 runs minimum.
  3. It shouldn’t matter in the lineup includes Gimenez’ bat. Unfortunately it does.
  4. It’s hard to be optimistic with their up and down offense.
  5. Chatwalk faces Javy - who blinks?
  6. The Big Leagues on a team expected to be playoffs bound is not the place for a guy to try to learn to throw strikes.
  7. I know baseball players want to hit. But I swear, if I were managing against Chatwalk or a guy like Maples, I would tell the players to not take the bat off their shoulders until he struck out the side.
  8. Cubs will give up on him eventually and he'll harness his control with another ball club, say, the Cardinals.
  9. And chin high fastballs.
  10. Will he be pants-less?
  11. Why are the Doyers able to hit a bunch of dongs but the Cubs can't?
  12. Can't spell "Cubs Suck" without Cubs.
  13. The VBs have played only 1 more home game than road game so far this year.....and yet the VBs are ALWAYS at home it seems.
  14. How cool would it be to follow a Chatwalk start with Maples as first outta the pen?
  15. So there was the Shawon-o-Meter a few decades back. Can someone do the Projected-Win-Total-o-Meter or maybe the fWAR-o-Meter or some other [insert random sabermetric showing Cubs offensive or team prowess]-o-Meter after each remaining game on this road trip?? Maybe even take it all the way to the ASB. Thanks!
  16. Boy, if only KB were in the lineup. Then the cubs would only have two hits.
  17. That last inning was/will be the Cubs only chance to score tonight and they blew it. From 1sr and 2nd and nobody out to four pitches later -inning over.
  18. I’m a little late with this comment but is it okay to hate Gimenez?
  19. Would imagine the sh!tty starters going 5 or less innings so many times the first two and a half months of the season is one of the causes.
  20. You’ve gotta watch this in slow-mo or screen by screen on the dvr. I can’t stop laughing. The guy is holding his head with both hands, bent at the waist in agony, while a fan 4 rows up and to the left is holding up the ricochet proudly!
  21. Did anyone notice on Rizzo’s HR, the guy in RF that tried to catch the ball had it go through his hands and hit him in the melon? If he’s okay, then it was hilarious to see. If he’s not okay, it was still pretty funny. Rewatch it on your DVR if you have a chance.
  22. I hate how people attack RD like it’s a fraud. All it is is a evaluating and predicting tool. The Cubs (still) have a good RD which means they are a good team but doesn’t tell the entire story Aren’t ALL stats evaluating and predicting tools? And no stat by itself tells the whole story, right?
  23. I just don’t like the inconsistency of mostly the offense. In 2016, I was never phased when the Cubs got down by even several runs. I knew the could, and did, score in bunches. But this year, when they get down by even a run early, I feel like they may not win because shutouts seem pretty common. That’s what bugs me about the RD. Great! Their run diff is high. Unfortunately, so are instances of scoring two or fewer runs. So when they win, they win by a lot. And when they lose, I guess it matters th st the games are often close. Maybe this will even out as the season progresses. Also, I hate the fact that so very often they are dominated by garage pitchers. That is all.
