    NFL Week 4

PackLandVA replied to bukie's topic in Other Sports

Bryce Young had a pile of sh!t on offense his first few seasons. The development of Chuba and getting TMac at WR1 are really big reasons for his progression.

    With a loss.

Ha!!!! You beat me to it!!!
  5. PackLandVA
    So ball four was overturned.
  6. PackLandVA
Padres walked in tying run, 2-2. Base juiced with two outs for Will Smith.
  7. PackLandVA
Cubs hitters didn't solve Junk last start either.
  8. PackLandVA
They couldn't really solve this guy in 5 innings in Miami, so...
  9. PackLandVA
Also, no Dansby in the starting lineup.
  10. PackLandVA
Possibly a bad matchup. The Reds crush Peterson. Looks like they're batting about .380 against him in just under 100 ABS. Not a small sample size.

    As does Cubs.com

Do the Cubs start Happ against the lefty or Taylor? Happ is 9 for 25 with a HR, 4 RBI, and a 1.010 OPS. Taylor is 2 for 11 with a HR, 2 RBI, and a .705 OPS.

So will Burns be on a pitch count? Three innings each of his last two start (roughly 50 pitches). The start before that was against the Cubs, and he threw 100 pitches....but in only 5 2/3 innings. With only one more start for Burns after today, I think Francona lets him go until near 100 again.
  14. PackLandVA
Cubs "clinch" number is 6, right?
  15. PackLandVA
September 3 against Milwaukee and September 4 at Florida. And they were 1/10th of an inch (ABS) from three games in a row less than two weeks ago.
  16. PackLandVA
Not a requirement to be in the Cubs bullpen.
  17. PackLandVA
Cepeda went 2-4 with a run scored. Kepley swiped 4 bases.
  18. PackLandVA
Hartshorn had a single, RBI, SB, and a run scored in his first AB.
  19. PackLandVA
Is it "dumb sh!t at a markup" if it's for charity?
  20. PackLandVA
Pirates should be bringing in a position player to pitch starting in the 6th, right? That's how it works in baseball these days?
  21. PackLandVA
Remember when the Cubs won 20 of 23. Yeah, that was cool.
  22. PackLandVA
I don’t remember this, but apparently Carson Kelly started a game at 1B this season.
  23. PackLandVA
Gasser throws the ball with his left arm/hand.

Just "winning the series" is never good enough when you win the first two.
