  1. You’ve gotta watch this in slow-mo or screen by screen on the dvr. I can’t stop laughing. The guy is holding his head with both hands, bent at the waist in agony, while a fan 4 rows up and to the left is holding up the ricochet proudly!
  2. Did anyone notice on Rizzo’s HR, the guy in RF that tried to catch the ball had it go through his hands and hit him in the melon? If he’s okay, then it was hilarious to see. If he’s not okay, it was still pretty funny. Rewatch it on your DVR if you have a chance.
  3. I hate how people attack RD like it’s a fraud. All it is is a evaluating and predicting tool. The Cubs (still) have a good RD which means they are a good team but doesn’t tell the entire story Aren’t ALL stats evaluating and predicting tools? And no stat by itself tells the whole story, right?
  4. I just don’t like the inconsistency of mostly the offense. In 2016, I was never phased when the Cubs got down by even several runs. I knew the could, and did, score in bunches. But this year, when they get down by even a run early, I feel like they may not win because shutouts seem pretty common. That’s what bugs me about the RD. Great! Their run diff is high. Unfortunately, so are instances of scoring two or fewer runs. So when they win, they win by a lot. And when they lose, I guess it matters th st the games are often close. Maybe this will even out as the season progresses. Also, I hate the fact that so very often they are dominated by garage pitchers. That is all.
  5. My guess is the Cubs’ bats break out on Sunday only to be silenced again in LA. They’ll win one in LA but not the Lester start. Probably Hendricks or Q game with BP being lights out. Then at least they can limp home and get good against bad teams. Isn’t that the theme lately?
  6. Sipping a glass of white, red or does he go blush?
  7. I was a little concerned when it was 3-1, wondering if the sChlUBS could score 4+ to win it. Down 8-1 (currently) - yea right. What good is a great RD when they struggle to score more than 2-3 runs so often.....against absolute trash pitchers.
  8. Sounded to me like the Dodger announcers kinda got a kick out of the Cubs’ “antics”.
  9. The Logan I’m there with you. I’ve had lower back problems for a couple decades, and I’ve “thrown” my back out several times. And it’s never from a pick up basketball game, or weight lifting or the occasional bar brawl (joke). It always seems to just be some normal movement with a slight bend of the wais, and, BAM! Tremendous pain momentarily, and almost complete immobilization for fear of more pain. Usually takes 5-7 days minimum to get back to normal.
  10. So Happ only K’d twice, huh?
  11. Just win Cubs and the others will fall away on their accord. It really won’t matter who wins the VB/Cards games.
  12. Didn’t, like, 9 grown men heave a three ton boulder in the middle of the fairway out of the way of Cheetah’s ball because it was considered a “loose impediment”? Seriously?? A boulder is a loose impediment? Yep, that’s what the rule makers had in mind.
  13. A win tonight and Cubs back in first place.....and a sweep of the redbirds.
  14. Thank you Jake Thompson and Philadelphia! Two three versus the VBs.
  15. VB's pitching taking a dump today. -Chase gets chased after giving up 6 ER in 5.1 (glad he dominated Cubs in last start) -Jeffress couldn't hold the game tied and let in 2 inherited from Chase's start. -Rest of bullpen has given up 4 (so far) including a dong allowed by Knebel. Score is 10-5 in top of 9th.
  16. Looks like "2017" Tommy Pham might be turning into" 30 year old who never had more than 160 ABs in a season 2018" Tommy Pham.
  17. Over/Under on runs scored by the Cubs tonight - 3.5 What do you take?
