  1. Video review. He kind of gloved it in.
  2. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha That is one of the quietest Canadian hockey arenas I've ever heard.
  3. This team is in the top 10 in the league in GAA. I can't believe that, but I love it.
  4. I don't think they *will* catch Detroit (down 5 with one game in hand after tonight), but I don't think it's crazy to talk about, which is awesome. Oh look, another goal.
  5. Fun fact: Aaron Johnson has a better +/- than Sidney Crosby.
  6. Oh look, I come home from work and the Hawks are winning. It never gets old :)
  7. If I thought Bonds would help the Cubs, sure. The guy didn't do anything worse than half the league did. It's not like rooting for a wife-beater or animal-cruelty specialist.
  8. I was too busy celebrating my fourth birthday to watch the big game.
  9. 1995 13-year-old KyleJRM listening to the 49ers/Falcons game knowing there is no *way* Steve Young fails to get a measly field goal drive to win it and put the Bears in the playoffs. Oops.
  10. 3rd place alone if we win this one. Which is technically 4th, no? For seeding sake, I mean. It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that we get the fourth seed and then have an epic second-round matchup with Detroit.
  11. Okay, I'm calling it. This is *definitely* a playoff team.
  12. When it completely disappears a la Hill, you have to wonder about the mental issue. It may or may not be, who knows? From an exterior perspective, it seems to have been an instigator here. If a guy suddenly drops 10 MPH in velocity, everyone would assume he had arm problems. But control is always assumed to be mental, when it's just as much a physical skill.
  13. I've never understood why control problems are presumed to be mental. Control is every bit as much a physical skill as velocity or movement.
  14. I want to find a reason to dislike this move, but I can't.
  15. i think i'd take it over boston's also No love for the team that had the best ERA in the league last season?
  16. Looks like a good one so far. Stupid winter sports season.
  17. It's not an onerous contract, but it's one that San Diego wants out of. The pressure is on them, not the team they're trading him to. If they have special circumstances, perhaps the Cubs felt like taking all the money and getting them out of that (as opposed to many other deals, where some salary is paid by the team trading, or they take back salary in return) meant giving up less in talent. I find it pretty onerous. The fact that other teams give stupid contracts to pitchers is no reason for us to.
  18. I'd cut him now and sign Micah Rucker off the NYG practice squad. But then, I'd cut Devin Hester if it meant I could sign Rucker to the Bears.
  19. Here's the rule as explained by the TV guys (so no guarantees): He caught the ball and had one foot down. Then he was hit before the second foot came down, so from the point he's hit he's in the process of going to the ground. His second foot then hits, but that's irrelevant now because we're in the "going to ground" stage. He's got to maintain control all the way through falling, hitting the ground and coming to a stop, which he didn't. Stupidly written rule, but correctly called.
  20. The first time I got Madden for PS2, I realized how easy it is to not see that dang LB.
  21. lol, we are about to become that team that ends the Saints season year after year after year. I like that.
  22. I'd rather have the flag now anyway.
  23. Yeah but it's also fire-a-whole-bunch-of-players time. It's pay-the-piper-for-a-few-good-seasons-where-you-squeezed-another-year-out-of-an-old-line-and-drafted-to-make-a-great-defense time.
