  1. Temple didn't do a thing ever before Golden showed up. I think that's a pretty solid hire for Miami. Whitlock has been hammering the hire. He says Temple has the biggest budget in the MAC, he's never beaten a MAC team with a winning record and has had success because he's in a big city and able to take more questionable recruits than some other programs. Seems a lot like Turner Gill to me. They were awful but then in his second year they moved to the MAC which has become terrible. Became a little less terrible, then had one good year and now took a step back this year when the MAC was again, awful.
  2. his name is peyton hillis, what did you expect He also just found out Jamarcus Russell is black. Didn't he have like a handful of fantasy posts in this thread though? How do you not know that?
  3. Since halftime on Thanksgiving the Patriots have outscored their opponents 113-10 in the last 8 quarters. That's two games. 6 of those quarters came against playoff teams and 4 of those quarters were on the road. Holy [expletive].
  4. WTF? I started Burleson over Knox and the Patriots D over the Giants because it appeared like passing would be almost impossible. Then I see Brady sling it all over the place and Cutler complete 20 yard pass with no difficulty.
  5. Did he throw it not to the sidelines and short of the end zone? About 25-30 yards short of the end zone and 10 yards from the sideline.
  6. How bad is the weather there now? Not sure whether to start Giants D vs. Vikings or Pats D in the blizzard at Bears. Need to win to make fantasy playoffs.
  7. same can be said about the "foul" on ejim on the possession right before that. No not really. That non-charge was absurd. If there ever was a textbook charge for the rules meetings to show, that was it. The worst part is that the ball wasn't even off of Iowa.
  8. Hey we beat alabama and uni for you.
  9. Disagree. I'll post more on it in the morning when I'm not drunk but I thought Garrett looked pretty good outside of shooting. He and Ejim were the only dudes who impressed me physically. And eff that nose on christopherson. Most of his shots came in transition. He hit a few prayers where he had no room. That non-charge when we were down two with a minute left is legitimately one of the worst calls I've ever seen.
  10. Iowa State at Iowa tonight, what do you think abuck and ISUCubsFan? I think we can get some points inside and should be able to beat you on the glass. You guys will shoot it better. Gatens is gonna have to make some shots or we're in trouble. Fran said he was making everything in practice before the UNI game but he's pressing right now.
  11. When he throws he looks like he has a rocket launcher attached to his arm.
  12. Precisely. You know Erin is all about her and probably completely bland. Nix is awesome with the glasses and I usually hate that. Hot teacher look
  13. I'm pretty sure Hugh Green wanted to punch Cam when he said he would take his o-line against Hugh any day. Think Mallett has moved back in front of him in my wish list for the Vikings. Enough with the Cammy Cam juice [expletive]
  14. And by starting to, I mean if given the choice, I would most definitely rather bone Wendi.
  15. Starting to think Wendy Nix tops Erin Andrews.
  16. Just saw on another board that it was Mike Sanzere on their crew tonight. That little goof has been doing Big Ten games for years and probably officiating college basketball for over 2 decades and he can't tell the difference between a men's and women's ball? He's awful so I guess it's not terribly surprising but come on.
  17. WHAT?!? Yep. Apparently McCamey and Richmond both pointed it out to them and they told them to keep playing. Those refs should be suspended for not catching that. It's an obvious difference. That's just bizarre. How quickly did those two point it out to the refs before they told them to play on? If I go to play at the Rec center next week and someone hands me a women's ball I'm immediately noticing it and asking why. The ref should have recognized it at the tip and made the change.
  18. Terrible contract but it's not like they'll really be hamstrung. The Red Sox and Yankees are so annoying on so many levels.
  19. WHAT?!?
  20. Pelini granted permission to speak to Miami about their opening?
  21. He'd have another game in his career if he played for Mark Dantonio. Well done.
  22. This is so awesome. When the McDaniels firing came down I posted my desire for Tim to be reunited with [expletive]. It has to happen. Edit: Come on, I can't call Coach Urban Meyer [expletive]? How would RedFlash have worked around this'?
  23. I couldn't disagree more. DJK is most definitely not smart or clean-cut (which should now be obvious). I'm honestly stunned he made it through nearly 4 full seasons without being dismissed from the team. For a college football player he's articulate and polished with a lot of charisma. By clean cut I meant he's pretty self-aware and conscious of the image he puts forth to the public and has molded that himself a bit. He has an ego, is probably a bit phony, and has some laziness/attitude issues. Like I said there's no college athlete that I would be surprised at finding out smoked weed, did coke or took pills. Deciding to live with this dude is the surprising part. I'm guessing he thought he was invincible. By the way it's 5 seasons. Not stunned because he never had a minor legal or academic issue.
  24. It's surprising to me because he's a smart, clean cut kid who hasn't been in any trouble academically or legally. I mean the weed and even coke can happen with any college athlete without being surprising but the extent and fact that he was living with this dude is. I don't see it as anything like '06. It's one dude who was living with a non-football player.
  25. One of the more encouraging things I've seen is that Fran has been really flexible. He wants the game up over 70 possessions but knew that he couldn't force it tonight. So we got ugly with them and grinded out a halfcourt game by beating them on the boards and taking care of the ball. That was the best defense we've played all year. I think Friday night should be entertaining. At least it will be a lot faster than tonight.
