  1. Thank you very much, I can't believe I forgot about that.
  2. How? Every time I click on another game or open the schedule in a new window, I get a message in the VWR saying "Please be patient and wait for your browser to refresh".
  3. I'm only able to open one virtual waiting room window at a time. Last year I had 23 open when I was finally able to get through. Was it like this last year during the half-hour when the room opened up before the tickets were actually on sale?
  4. To be completely fair, the triple was probably a fly out if: 1) the wind weren't blowing out, or 2) Marrero had done a decent job of tracking it and going back on it (which I believe was influenced by (1) ). Still, he drove two balls the opposite way and crushed a home run to dead center that would have been gone with a wind blowing in at 15 MPH. Not a bad day for "the Creature". Where did that nickname come from? I've seen him called that many times over the last two years, but have been clueless as to where it came from.
  5. I agree wholeheartedly. However if we don't bring in a Drew or Beltran next year (and choose to spend the money at SS, 2B) then he should at least get a chance to platoon with Hollandsworth next year.
  6. No, he's the worst GM in the game. Just ask sulleymon.
  7. Bruce, thanks for taking our questions. I'm curious as to what you think of Ryan Sweeney in the White Sox system. It seems as if his stock has risen quickly after a solid short season last year and a big spring in Arizona. He's a local kid from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, so I've followed him closely. Many said that if he was from California, Texas or Florida he would have been a top 15 pick last year. You may know that he had numerous scholarship offers as a pitcher (San Diego State, Tulsa). I've seen him listed as high as 3rd on the White Sox prospect list, and have seen him listed in front of guys like Borchard. What do you think his ETA is, and what kind of potential do you think he has? Thank you.
  8. Tim, what kind of performance are you expecting from Mercker this year, and if you think that he will change the way that Remmy is used? Coming out of the bullpen last year he was effective, but had 17 BB's in 81 AB's with a .222 BA against lefties, compared to 15 BB's in 122 AB's, .230 BA against right-handers. However looking at his 3 year splits, he is significantly better against LH than RH. I'm curious if Dusty will use Remmy any differently this year than he did in 2003.
  9. Great, great recaps, thank you guys very much. I wish I could be there this weekend, but at least with you guys there, I don't feel like I'm missing out as much.
  10. Congratulations, your insight was greatly appreciated this offseason. I just registered for a name, but have been following things here since August when I heard about the site. Not sure how I would have gotten through this offseason without the insight given by you and all of the posters. It would be nice to get a report from the Convention for all of us who can't be there!
