I would hardly consider a .038 gap in OPS the difference between good and phenomenal. That difference could be closed in a week. For reference, Michael Barrett's OPS dropped .038 points over the course of 8 starts (June 24-July 4) and was then raised back up .026 points in his next 5 games. Long term, Dunn is the much better option. But there really hasn't been a big difference overall this year and if they stayed at the same rate, I don't think the impact on the team would be significantly different this year. Since '99 Floyd has posted OPS' of .897, .907, .968, .951, .894, .814, and now .891 this year. As you can see he's been near or above .900 every season in the last 7 years. The problem of course is keeping him healthy. Dunn is younger and has the higher ceiling. Floyd would come cheaper (maybe quite a bit cheaper) and would cost less next year. If the price for Dunn is too high, Cliff could be a good option. Next year he would be in a contract year, perhaps playing for his last fairly big contract.
