  1. I'm still going with Brotzman. True
  2. Stevie Johnson has to be the sickest man in America.
  3. That was one where a celebration was deserved. He hasn't scrambled in years but that clinched the game so they could run out the clock. The whole sideline was going nuts and jumping on him. It wasn't just a routine 1st down. Glad for Leslie to get the win. Tough spot because I want a top 10 pick and Mallett but I want Frazier to get the job.
  4. That would never happen. If there was a 16-team playoff, you'd at least see auto bids to the big six conferences if not all 11. I know it's not going to, but I can dream. The only fair way to do it would be all 11 conference champions and 5 wild card teams. What? No that's far from the only fair way to do it.
  5. After Iowa's huge win and Michigan's close loss to Syracuse, everyone in the Big Ten is currently inside Pomeroy's top 85. Individually the Big Ten is predicted to go 8-3 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge though 3 of the Big Ten's wins are virtual toss-ups. Iowa, Purdue and Penn State are the 3 Big Ten wins with less than 69% certainty and they're right at 52/53%.
  6. There's no instead of with them. UCONN or someone from the big east was going to be in regardless. That was legitimately one of the craziest/most exciting games I've seen. At least from halftime on. I can't even imagine what that kicker's life will be like.
  7. "What a conference" He has a way of really making me dislike every team in that conference. I really enjoyed the actual game today and was really annoyed by Danielson all game. He should just come out and say the SEC championship game is the National Championship game. What the hell happened to him? He's from the midwest, played in the Big Ten and mainly broadcasted games in the Big Ten/midwest. Then he got that job and immediately turned into Tony Barnhart. Maybe worse.
  8. Yeah they were absolutely awful but that was still fun. Highest margin of victory since 1966. It's a big blow to have Cully out for 6-8 weeks though. Cartwright isn't a dropoff at starter but it eliminates depth. Kind off explains the way he's looked this year too.
  9. Is Martinez injured or is Bo just being dumb? Cam is comin for ya
  10. True but that was horrible.
  11. Greg Schiano made a great career move staying at Rutgers.
  12. Oregon. Maybe Auburn.
  13. 8 and 7
  14. 1980s SMU and Dave Bliss. What could possibly go wrong?
  15. Jesus, how corrupt was SMU in the early-mid 80's? I knew about the football stuff but had no idea they were ever ranked that high in basketball.
  16. You know what sucks? That these lame Orlando and Virgin Island tournaments squeezed out the Great Alaskan Shootout. That thing used to have great fields, now the last 5 years or so it's sucked. It was so great to go out the night before Thanksgiving, come home and have an awesome game on live. Now no one wants to go to Alaska with all these other options.
  17. No idea. I guess UCLA is interested in him since they've whiffed on every point guard they've gone after since Jrue Holiday and Jerime Anderson (who has been a colossal bust). I saw an article that said Iowa offered and he's going to sign late. Given his other offers I thought we might have an outside chance if UCLA wasn't all that interested. He's already taken 4 offers and they're his best so I'm not sure what he would be waiting for.
  18. Raisin what's the deal with Elijah Carter?
  19. This Kentucky-Washington game is super entertaining. Just crazy athletes at a fast pace. When was the last time a Calipari team had 3 white guys on the floor at the same time in a tied game? I was stunned.
  20. Kemba Walker is ridiculous right now.
  21. Additional salt in the wound--that Alabama team you guys beat just lost to 1-3 St. Peters. Ick. Yeah Long Beach State looked better than Alabama. They had some athletes but were not very smart. Still I saw them picked to finish second in the SEC West in the preseason.
  22. Iowa blew a game they should have had against Dan Monson and Long Beach State. Shot better, attempted more free throws, had fewer turnovers but couldn't get defensive boards or loose balls and allowed 18 more field goals. LBS had 17 more field goals in the second half than Iowa did. They've been a good rebounding team this year too.
  23. I disagree, especially the weak armed part. That's just not accurate. He doesn't have a cannon but it's definitely NFL quality. He throws a really good deep ball. The one throw that's in question is that deep out like raw said, but that's typically a question mark with everyone and most of the guys who can make that throw are deficient in other areas. I also disagree on the situationally stupid stuff. Not by college QB standards. KC Joyner agrees in the linked piece. Yeah there's some bias on my end but it's more because I've seen every throw he's made in college than just being a Hawkeye. He's done more than just cut down on INT's this year also. His yards per attempt is up a yard and his completion percentage is up 10%. That's substantial. He's got 23 TD to 4 INT's, completing 66% and averaging 8.9 yards per attempt for 2,677 through 11 games. He's 6th in the country in pass efficiency and has more attempts than anyone ahead of him besides Mallett. Considering he's doing it in a pro-style offense and a BCS conference, that's impressive. Kiper says he's a 2nd/3rd rounder. Here's the article KC Joyner did for ESPN breaking down his whole season: Joyner Breakdown
  24. Luck is obviously the clear #1 but I think it could get murky after that. Mallett is probably the second best and he's who I would want, but what if Cam runs the table and impresses everyone in workouts? Easy to see a team completely falling in love with Locker also. Cam and Locker will either be stars or bums. I think this could be a really good QB class but there's obviously a lot of hit and miss. I think Stanzi and Foles could be solid and have moved up. What about Kapernick? Ponder and Gabbert could definitely be good backups. dew you nailed it. I've seen two Georgia games this year and Murray is outstanding as a prospect. I posted in the weekly thread after their Auburn game that I wish the Vikings could draft him this year.
