    He's even more exciting to listen to during a huge upset. Yeah Gus is going to bring some magic with him. And he's going to have a ton of fun saying Melsahn Basabe. AND MELSAHN BASABE MISSES ANOTHER FREE THROW!!!!! Hey that's not how that was supposed to work.

    Why not? If the money is as good (or better) than the current system, they'll play anyone you ask them to Come on, tell me you guys don't actually believe this junk. You think they'll take a deal that has a likely negative impact on regular season and other bowl games AND puts garbage teams from garbage conferences on the same level just because the money is AS GOOD as it is now. Or slightly better.

    Not selling beer just means you're going to have a few thousand fans get rowdy, angry drunk with whiskey flasks poured into your $6 cokes and not make any money off of it. There's no reason not to sell a bunch of plastic bottled beers.

    that's a depressing list. this season is lacking in star players. Who the hell is going to be the first pick in the Draft next year? Sullinger? Kyrie Irving or Harrison Barnes, most likely. Harrison Barnes is going to be a role player on a 7 seed. I think he'll be back next year.

    Well this is [expletive] great. I can't remember the last deal that put a big smile on my face and forced me to give a fist pump. I was convinced we were going to overpay for him. You're the man Kerry.

    It was inevitable that Hendry was going to spend too much on a reliever we didn't need. It might as well be on Kerry. And echoing other thoughts, now when I go to games I can wear the only Cubs jersey I've ever owned.

    And with that the Tarvaris Jackson era has come to an unceremonious end. We're going to enter the offseason with Joe Webb as the only QB on the roster.

    It is a brand new stadium built just for the college team (which used to share the metrodome) that apparently was built for Southern California climates. No kidding. What a stupid, stupid move. The surface was frozen for the Iowa-Minnesota game in November. Guys were falling and trying to dig in to get any footing. All I've heard is praise for TCF being this amazing new stadium and then you find out that it wasn't built to handle cold weather. In Minnesota.

    The Vikings have come to terms with Patrick Ramsey. I'd rather see Webb even though he may fail miserably. Ramsey has attempted 3 passes since '07 and 77 passes since 2004.

    I agree. I think mentally he's done right now more than he ever has been. The lockout could change things though and really you just have to look at this list of free agents. There are never really any good free agent QB's because if you're worth anything you're re-signed but this is ugly. Say the Vikings get lucky and get a Newton or Mallett but because of the lack of offseason activity, they know that they will not be ready for 2011. It's pretty tempting to roll the dice that you can recapture half of the magic he had last year instead of settling for one of those hacks.

    No one cares: Fantasy playoffs for me and I have Greg Jennings along with the Patriots defense. I'm so torn.

    You've "tried"? That implies that you failed and/or quit drinking beer because the temperature was 50. I refuse to believe that. Do you not attend/tailgate any Iowa football or Bears games?

    He'll feel good in June and want to get the bad taste out of his mouth and end on his own terms instead of by injury. If the lockout extends into the summer as many believe it will, it frees him from any commitments. I wouldn't even be shocked if it was with the Vikings depending on the coach situation. Tarvaris is done here. If they draft a future QB but want to give him a year, you're probably better off taking your chances on him recapturing the magic than signing any other journeyman QB that will be available.

    I don't think a lot of people realize how bad MAC football has been the last couple years. I don't think anyone realizes that. People keep getting jobs because they've "turned around" a program in the MAC. Well if it keeps happening every year, it must not be very hard to do. No one is good.

    Don't know what you guys are talking about with the end of his career. This lockout fits perfectly into his plans. He can avoid all mini-camps, OTA's and half of training camp without it being a big deal. He's not going to want to go out like this and will show up somewhere right before the season.

    Damn. Don't give me Patrick [expletive] Ramsey please. At least with Joe Webb I'll be able to have a few holy [expletive] moments when he throws 1 or 2 awesome balls and makes a couple of great runs sandwiched between the picks.

    First outdoor game in 30 years with what could be winter weather. Monday Night Football vs. the Bears. Throwback uniforms. Big 50th anniversary celebration. It's impossible for me to do this "hope we lose" for a better draft pick. I'm praying Favre plays and plays awesome so the entire country can bitch about how Jaws and Gruen slob all over him.

    Is this a guess or something u read? It was announced. Now it's being confirmed by various Twin Cities media outlets that it will be at TCF.

    The Metrodome will not be ready for Monday so the game will almost assuredly be at TCF stadium.
