The young group (Rory, Fowler, Day) was incredible to watch. Tiger was -7 today on the last 13 holes.

Apparently jersey either died or retired so I'll get it going. I took Westwood, Rory, Mahan and Kim in a pool with restrictions on rankings. Coverage starts on ESPN at 2 central.

Disappointing that they could only put together a good 2nd and blew a chance to win in regulation by being sloppy and dumb for the 3 Blues goals. Still at least they got 2 and didn't require the shootout.

Too bad because that was an incredible game to watch. Up and down the ice all night, intense atmosphere, tons of chances for both teams, great goaltending. Gotta get 2 tomorrow night, preferably in regulation. Subban was a headache all night.

Was at the game today and the actual attendance seemed more like 15,000 or so. I was expecting a small crowd but that was surprising. The gulls were ruthless in the outfield, especially late. Some drunk guy fell over the railing where it gets higher out in RF down the 1st base line. The 7th inning bullpen moves were odd but it was fun to see Kerry get out of the jam in the 8th. The wind killed those shots by Geo and Soriano in the 8th, I thought they were both definitely gone. -
Man, I have no idea how to do that. Next year's Big Ten may be a clustermakinglove. Ohio St. probably still the favorite (losing a lot of leadership - reloading with freshmen 4/5 star talent) Wildcards that could win it - Illinois (I think even the water boy is a 4 star), Michigan (lots of young talent, came on strong, made the tourney), Michigan St (Izzo and lots of talent). Teams that will be competitive but it will take a lot of pieces coming together - Purdue (losing two of programs best players ever - adding length) , Wisconsin (I think losing Leuer hurts a lot, Taylor could be BTPOY... lots of big white dudes and won't lose at home) . No real shot but will be improved, Indiana (help is on the way), Iowa (really like Basabe), Northwestern (lots of foreign dudes) Terrible - Minny (Mbakwe will wear a house arrest ankle bracelet), Penn St. Nebraska... yeah, I know nothing about them. I agree with that for the most part. I saw Jim Jackson say his top 5 for next year are OSU, Michigan, MSU, Purdue, Wisconsin with Illinois and Iowa next right outside that top 5 group.

I heard it before the tournament started. Never listen to them but Gottlieb and Bilas were filling in around the tournament. She picked UCONN over Butler 53-39 the morning after selection Sunday.

Can someone tell me how many times the Hawks have been shut out at home this year? That game was so dumb. They got one power play goal and were gutless the rest of the way. Sit in the neutral zone some more you pussies. 14 [expletive] shots or some such nonsense.

After the blackhawks game a guy told me that missouri hired frank haith. I bet him $25 that he was full of [expletive]. I lose. But Missouri loses more.

I think it is going to be real fun. Tampa is a great team to watch and the Hawks will probably skate with them. Should be some real fun up and down the ice action. Just the type of game that the NHL should get on National TV. Oh well I am sure the Rangers/Flyers will be dull...oops I mean exciting Yeah the last time they played the Blackhawks I was surprised by how physical they were. You know they're fast and breakout and can score but they're fairly tough too, or at least have been when I've seen them.

Going to my first Blackhawks game tomorrow against the Lightning (and then the Cubs game on Monday). Should be a fun game, it was the last time they played.

I was just gonna come and ask a similar question. My sister in brother in law live about 30 miles out of Chicago and the Giant-Dodger game is being blacked out as well. WTF? I found a discussion on dbstalk.com about it and it sounds like people in the Cubs/Sox market are blacked out for some reason, probably a glitch. A guy in Cleveland says he's getting it. Tried calling DirecTV and a clueless CSR told me that it was because that's what happens when games don't sell out. Okay. -

Yeah I was thinking the same. He said Pena isn't the player the Cubs think he is because he's a low .200's hitter and when the wind blows in that will negate his power. Because the wind never blows out. He then went out on a limb and said that Soriano will never be a 30-30 guy again. He also said that Soto will never have a season like he had as a rookie, doesn't have much pop and is a .270 hitter at best. Really? He concluded by saying Castro won't be the perennial All-Star some think he'll be. -

I don't hate Gottlieb like the rest of the planet, but I'm pretty sure the Champaign beat writer would know better who has talked to Weber than Gottlieb. Yeah just throwing it out there because he's usually pretty good with coaching news.
