  1. Yeah that was bad. Their 3rd base coach put up a terrible stop sign in the top of the 9th also with the game tied. The Reds then left the bases loaded after having zero outs.
  2. There's no way you can pass on Drummond at 9 with the Pistons desperately needing a big that can protect the rim. And even if they didn't have that need he's still one of if not the top talents there. DX had him 2nd overall. Hollinger and Ford both had him 5th on their boards and the clear top C. He's a damn specimen. Yeah he underwhelmed this year. He also could have been a high school senior and was playing for a completely dysfunctional team. Knight, Monroe and Drummond make for a nice potential young core.
  3. They can maybe get a lot for Toews too, should we have that discussion? The Cubs can maybe get a lot for Castro, should we ask that question? We all know that if a team is willing to blow your socks off and overpay for a player, you should consider it or make the deal. I just don't see the point when the whole discussion is just "If someone is going to give us a ton for _____ we should do it." Then list shortcomings of the very good, young player and insert a random team.
  4. I think there's roughly a 30% chance that the Pistons sneak into the playoffs next year and with the cap space they'll have, 40+% in '14. They finished the year 18-16 this year in their last 34 games. .500 or a little above is doable with another year for Monroe and Knight, a full offseason with Frank, getting something out of Drummond (still hoping) or Henson and a couple decent moves. Anyways, if they end up giving up the 15th pick next year or 16th pick in '14, this deal will have been great. If they still suck and don't have a lottery pick in a few years it's terrible.
  5. Yes! I saw the second one with the big "Brazzers" logo across the bottom.
  6. Someone please post the gif of Bosh pouring champagne on himself last night. I would but I can't access it now.
  7. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2012/6/21/3109494/dan-gilbert-cleveland-cavaliers-lebron-james-miami-heat Holy crap, dude has lost it. "I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS HIS SECOND" Yeah ok. Maybe if you didn't get him Antwan Jamison, Delonte West, Larry Hughes and Mo Williams he would of stayed. Oh come on.
  8. Damn I miss me some bum.
  9. Going with the Dwayne Wayne glasses is actually kind of funny.
  10. Don't know if this is the one you were talking about, but it's still a classic. Both because of what is said, and the inherent meatball-ness of the whole thing. Nope. The one he's referring to was a beauty but it seems like all traces of it have been scrubbed from the internets. He was sitting in the press box with Progressive Field behind him. Boers and Bernstein played the hell out of the audio.
  11. Buy the damn paper.
  12. That LSU/Stony Brook game was pretty crazy in the 9th, 10th and 11th.
  13. You're going to surpass NW for the whitest team in the league. Fortunately for the next two years they at least have Basabe, Marble, Clemmons, Ingram and Olaseni (but he's from London originally so I don't know)
  14. Uthoff is officially going to Iowa. I hope this board is still around when this ugly group of honkies is wrecking shop in a few years...
  15. Good job by you to notice that.
  16. The Clemson-South Carolina game yesterday was fantastic.
  17. Except for the 100 point OPS difference.
  18. I haven't seen anything like that since Illinois at Nebraska.
  19. How about the smashing Sosa's boom box thing? I [expletive] love Sosa, but smashing his boom box was pretty awesome. I mean, yeah, it's pretty meatball-y, but so was what Sosa pulled that day. The meatballiest thing, however, was how the organization played Mean Girls with the whole thing to make Sosa look as bad as possible. Agreed.
  20. I will as long as the Caps are alive.
  21. There was a coaching problem on the staff with the PP/PK units.
  22. The Caps have been my playoff team since the Hawks were eliminated.
  23. I didn't even think about flipping over to ESPN during the draft. The Eisen/Davis/Mayock crew was really good throughout the draft. The cellphone thing you mentioned was pretty funny. But on the first night they had Deion and Irvin. Of course ESPN had Berman so I was flipping. Plus I still love me some Mel. Anyone catch the "Mel Facts" at the end of the 7th round? He's never had an ATM card, never written a check (straight cash homey) and every morning he eats pumpkin pie with fat free whipped cream but doesn't eat the crust. Well Deion was only doing the short little interviews on stage. He really wasn't involved much. They did have Faulk up there, who I think does a great job for a former player turned analyst. I had no interest in turning to ESPN the entire draft. Yeah but those interviews were immediately time to turn the channel. And every time I actually heard Faulk speak up, he really had no idea what he was talking about other than generalities about positions.
  24. Really? I hear him do that with the NBA and NFL but he always seems to acknowledge that the MLB playoffs are a crapshoot.
