Remember that interview where Crean said Hulls was an NBA guard and Georgia was a top 25 team? Georgia lost to a horrendous Mississippi State team at home yesterday. They're now 6-9.

What the [expletive] is this [expletive]? At Michigan was a guaranteed loss. You weren't going to sweep IU and MSU out the gate when you're starting 3 freshman. 1-2 was about all anyone should have realistically hoped for. They lost by a combined 7 points, 1 of which came without their best player in a game they led the whole way. They're 1 game off any kind of projected pace with 15 left to play. It's not ideal but if you thought they had a decent chance before there's no [expletive] reason for this 3 game stretch to change everything.

Singletary was demoted last year from LB's coach because he apparently was lazy and disinterested beyond belief. Frazier kept him around in some token role this year just because he's his guy from way back. Priefer has been a great special teams coach. -
That was amazing. There was absolutely nothing to justify overturning that. Wisconsin unimpressive again. They were only up 3 at home in the last 1:30 vs. PSU.

Not to interrupt the D.J. Byrd bashing but Sheehey is still easily the biggest douche in the conference. Forgot to post that the other day. I think he bugs me more than Kramer.

If Winfield is out the Packers may score 50. If he can go and Smith is healthy I think it will be competitive. Ponder won't play that well again but our pass defense won't be that bad again if they don't have to play CB roulette on the fly. This is the total "just happy to be here" though, at least for the fans. From 3-13 and with like the 3rd youngest roster in the league plus Adrian's uncertainty, this was unexpected fun. Especially when Percy went down and they were sitting at 6-6 with the toughest remaining schedule in the league.

I think you could make the case for Marshall being the best, but that really sucks for Briggs. I bet he ends up getting a nod if anyone gets hurt. It's ridiculous that the OLB spots all go to 3-4 pass rushers. -

Trying to come up with some Big Ten predictions. Feel pretty confident in IU and Michigan as the top two and Purdue, Northwestern, PSU, Nebraska as the bottom four. 3-8 are pretty damn tough to sort out at this point.

Frustrating as it is to say I'm impressed. Can't see them losing in the dome to clinch a playoff spot but who knows. I wish I was that confident. Unfortunately they'll likely have a shot at the #2 spot this week so I expect them to approach it all out. The Vikings really were in a great position to win at Lambeau. They got hosed on a ridiculous roughing penalty that wiped out an Allen pick that would have had us at their 16 with a 14-10 lead. Then with that same lead Ponder threw an awful pick in their end zone and another pick in the red zone while trailing by 6 to end the 3rd. Obviously he could do the same but the D is playing much better and these Packers don't scare me as much as the last couple of years. Mainly because our pass defense can put up some resistance finally.

Savor it Duke, I believe Groce is going to put an end to days of Kentucky, Duke, et. al. plucking whatever player they want out of Chicago and the rest of Illinois. Never heard this one before. Imagine if you got all of the Iowa talent, you'd be pretty good. Now imagine if we could do the same. Gee I wonder why that's what we want. I didn't question why you would want that. It's pretty obvious. I'm talking about gflore's "this new coach is going to put an end to other coaches coming in and taking the best from Chicago..."

MVP. When was the last time a non QB won the award? Tomlinson in '06. Shaun Alexander won it in '05. I'm incredibly biased but he should win it. Yeah Manning has been awesome but they went to the playoffs without a QB last year. The Vikings were 3-13 last year, have the 26th ranked pass offense this year and are 8-6 because he's going to have 1,900-2,100 yards against 8 and 9 man fronts all [expletive] year. They've been without Percy for almost half the year. It's absurd.
