Our MLB 3rd baseman goes on the DL....we're in last 60 games out of 1st.. ..and we cant bring up a No.1 draft choice who has been in the minors 4 years...playing third base? ...Vitters is hitting around .265 with nine homers in 1/2 a season at AAA He was drafted 5 years ago.....the 'he's not ready' excuse does not qualify...as an answer Vitters cant come up for two weeks to play 3rd base so we can see if he's ready to be a major leaguer?? ...we bring up a journeyman second baseman? Not much doubt that the new management doss not consider Vitters a prospect of any kind, ever. Right?

There is literally nothing remotely stupid about it. It is a completely justifiable decision to make. Its 100% stupid....Its stupidville LaHair has improved greatly the last 2 years and he played against lefties... He played against everybody He's a player..let him play. But if you just want up-and-coming superstar Jeff Baker at 1st....That's another issue

What Sucks..Tea Man. is being in last place unable to hit and sitting there doing nothing... ..when we have talent at AAA we could call up. But hey, what's the hurry? Lets wit till next year to break in the new players

We're gong to have to eat the contract...and the sooner the better so others can come up and start our rebuild. The biggest mistake our new masterminds are making is hanging onto Sori trying 'to get something for him' Its retarding the progress of Brett Jackson, who needs to get on-the-job training at the MLB level. The money is gone...we cant get it back. Release Sori. Should have been done last winter. I'm one of the biggest B Jackson fans around and even I'm scared of what that 31% K rate will do in the majors. He doesn't NEED OJT in the majors, he needs to improve his contact skills in AAA. Like Castro and Campana and Cardenas... what's the difference? /.we're dead last ? On the job training for all.....cant be scared of them failing....we need to know what we have Seriously...why is he different from our other rookies..>? he literally just told you. brett jackson is striking out like adam dunn at iowa. calling him up right now would be idiotic. Not even close..check the numbers. Does he strike out as much as Sori...? Plus...he's a 'plus' defender...You've seen him play. What are we waiting for with Jackson? We're deader than Elvis and we're afraid to call up prospects... If you're okay with Sori's 'D' vs. his 'O'// //I wouldnt want to change your mind.....

Have a 'Sori appreciation day' and then release him. Let him misjudge one more ceremonial flyball like Kerry Wood got one more strikeout... We have to pay him either way. So we can release him or we can continue to watch him miss balls in left field. Its our choice..

and DUDE...sacrifice bunts have also ended more innings of any kind than anything else. Are you Dusty Baker ? :-$

they're not babies.....MSG...he's played a lot of minor league games... how many at bats does Jackson have the last 2 years at AAA. Not everybody fails when they come up..and if he does..send him back It didnt screw up Rizzo by SD giving him a chance last year, did it?? Jackson's done time in the minors....and while we have a 'lost year' lets use it to develop Let's not manufacture a reason to wait yet another year to start the rebuilding

and LaHair would be doing all that in left field with Rizzo at 1st with his numbers if we'd have released Sori last winter like we'll ceratinly have to do eventually anyway. That's what I mean by 'choosing to be punchless' Its a choice we made.. understand 83...? :roll:

Taking a walk is a different issue. His K rate in AA was roughly 9.5%. It's been mid teen's since his callup. Jackson would be in serious trouble if it jumped to 35+% in the majors. He needs to get it under control first, before he's called up. Your arguement is that he's not 100% ready and mine is that few players ever are. We have need... I dont think Barney was hitting up a storm when we called him up. We have the worst defensive left fielder in MLB...Its not all his fault. he's hurt. But he's bad. How much lower would we be in the standings right now if Brett Jackson was playing center, Tony Campana or Bryan LaHair was in left and Sori had been released...last winter?
