  1. Yeah, you are right. I should have said that Miggy had an injury riddled year instead of a down year. He's always been solid when healthy.
  2. To be fair, Peterson has been pretty damn good in 2 of his 3 starts so far as a Cub. Held the Brewers to 2 runs and the Orioles to 1. The Cardinals game was ugly, but if he turns out another good performance tonight, it's hard to call it a bad trade.
  3. This would have been a good idea going into this past off-season, when Rutschman's value was at an all-time low and Amaya was coming off of a down year. It's not happening now. Cubs need to focus on pitching. I also doubt the Orioles are selling, having won 7 of their last 8 games.
  4. This would be a great trade if they can't land a front line starter, IMO. Palencia and Hader back there would be as good as it gets.
  5. Probably not any more than the next guy. I respected the effort of making a move, even if it didn't work out. I've said the same thing about the Parades trade. Most of us can accept when they lose a trade.. we can't accept not trying
  6. The Mets should be a case study on how not to build a team lol. Signing Bichette to play 3rd base, letting Alonso leave. What a disaster.
  7. Watching these Twins play defense makes me appreciate how important run prevention is
  8. I'm not sure what's going to happen with Happ and Suzuki in the off-season, but if Happ is leaving it would be nice to have another switch hitter in the lineup.
  9. if Pedro keeps playing like this it makes Shaw mighty expendable. I mean they are set around the diamond with at least one viable, cost controlled option as a backup. What will be the excuse not to get a top flight starter in a few weeks.
  10. I love JD. But on his off-days I love Dempster more than the other options they've thrown out the past year. I never want to hear Cliff Floyd in the booth again lol (solid post-game guy though)
  11. Is that Dempster in the booth? Love the analysis (Cohen a different story lol)
  12. Detmers would be such a great get, and I don't see why this FO can't swing a trade like that after all these years. When was the last time they made a big trade deadline move as buyers? Quintana? We deserve more as fans than one or two of those moves every decade.
  13. The fact that basically every single guy showed up (minus the current active players) shows what a special group that was. Only Pedro Strop and Hector Rondon are missing
  14. Nico has been hitting like Junior Lake these past few months
  15. I don't blame Busch for the aggressive attempt at 2nd base, but this entire inning is probably different if he just took the easy out at 1st
