Exactly. If the Cubs run into the Phillies in the playoffs, is Busch not going to start against that trio of lefties? He's already shown he can run into a home run every now and then vs LHP. If they had someone better than Turner I could understand the logic..but they don't
I think the Cubs need to roll with their best players, whether it's a lefty or righty. Busch has a higher WAR than Pete Alonso in like 60 less plate appearances.
I no longer think they can justify sitting him under any circumstances.
Very satisfied with this team winning 2/3, taking all 3 would just be gravy. Huge test today against arguably a top 2 lefty in the sport. Even if the Cubs don't win, I'm just hoping Horton looks dominant. I'll take 6 IP and 2 ER!
The Dodgers on some days just look old and slow. That rotation is still filthy but the lineup... doesn't really instill fear in me. Unfortunately, I can now see them joining the Suarez sweepstakes
That would be awesome. I hope the Cubs can avoid the Dodgers and Phillies until the NLCS. As good as the Brewers have been, I'd rather face them in the NLDS.
