  1. Does the Cubs lead the league in GIDPs this year?
  2. That's the type of lineup where you're scratching your head, but naturally scores 9 today because... baseball.
  3. He's a horrifically, awful defender too by almost all accounts and they are going to have to decide to give him like 3-4 years at $12 mil+ a year after the season as well. Holy horsefeathers, do you look at NBA contracts? What the hells wrong with giving him THAT lol? Yeah that's a no brainer there. I mean there's talks of teams going to offer Andre Igoudala $20 mil+ a year. Andre horsefeathering Igoudala!!! Evan Turner got 4/70 which is 17.5 mil a year which is what I'm expecting Lavine gets.
  4. We weren't competing for a title within the next two years, under any circumstance. At that point, you'd be paying Jimmy a super max deal and making it even harder to truly compete. I think this path is the one likelier to get us into contention quicker, acknowledging that NEITHER is likily to get the Bulls there within the next 3-4 years. Jimmy's under contract for three more years, not two. And I disagree that the path that leaves us with zero stars is likelier to get us into contention more quickly than the one in which we have one. It's really 2 years. 3rd year is player option which he'll opt out 100%.
  5. Because he would've answered that they didn't traded "away" a 1st which is true. They switched and move up 9 spots. Granted the 16th pick shouldn't have been involved in this deal in the first place.
  6. Don't forget Thomas Bryant. Pretty sure he's going to Lakers. Might not make the team as a 2nd rounder, but if he does, he's going to be noticed on the defensive side quickly.
  7. For the defending Champs There's our lost Playoff revenue for 2018, thank goodness. WTF???
  8. If this is all Bulls can get for Butler, PG will only bring back a 2nd rounder for the Pacers. Woof!
  9. I agree. Just like Bulls are better off with keeping Butler and their pick in the other scenario. Just don't see a 3 way trade between those 3 teams.
  10. I feel like this would've made more sense because I'm not sure how Pacers could only give up PG and nothing else with very little leverage while Bulls had to with 16th pick even though Butler has an extra year of control which makes him more valuable than PG imo. If anything, Pacers should be giving up their 18th and Bulls keep their 16th or at worst, make them switch picks. EDIT: Or maybe just give Bulls one of 27/28 and Pacers keep 18.
  11. Why would they though? Just wait til next year and sign him unless the asking price is so low. I think Pacers will trade PG, just to another team.
  12. So crazy to spend that much on a guy like him. It would really hurt the Warriors (he's their glue guy IMO), but would give them a lil bit a flexibility (mainly the owner wouldn't be spending as much penalty $$) with the salary/luxury cap to keep the main core.
  13. Completely different styles of basketball. Are we playing by today's rules or the 1990's rules? That is the question. And if we were playing today's rules, would the Bulls have time to prepare and adjust for a style of basketball they've never seen or played? They've never played in an NBA without hand checking, illegal defense, teams built around 3 point shooting. How much more space would Jordan have to drive and create offense without hand checking? How much less space would Curry/Thompson have to launch 3's with hand checking in place? I am thinking the Warriors would be more talented, but the meatball in me defers to Jordan's relentlessly brutal competitive streak. Give him time to prepare and the Bulls have a good shot. If there's someone who could "shut down" Durant for a series, it would be Pippen IMO which allows MJ to guard Curry or Thompson. Then again, if there's no hand checking, Durant still goes nuts. It would also be fun to see Rodman vs. Green/Zaza.
  14. If C's draft Fultz and then trade for Butler/PG plus the cap space, I'm not so sure that Cavs are 100% back into the finals next season. Not sure if Cavs can do much during this offseason (outside of trading Love/Thompson/JR Smith/etc) so this team won't change/improve much.
  15. Am I totally off here that I see Lester (as a prospect/early years) in Little?
  16. Anybody got any idea of what it'll take to sign these 2? Are we looking at slot? Over/under?
  17. His swing scares me. Not sure if he'll be able to cut down the Ks. Remind me of Brett Jackson (Kendall swing isn't as long, but got holes)
  18. Good job MLB Network showing Hiura being picked by Brewers on the big board before they announced the pick. Lol
  19. GOD NO on the first 1. If you get Cease out of that package for Gray, I would be alright with that one.
  20. Tim Raines, Eric Davis, Willie Wilson, maybe Tony Womack and a couple more all had a season "close" to that (depending on what's the cutoff would be for volume and/or %). Still extremely rare like you said though.
  21. Not really really. Arenado, Suarez, Rendon, Turner, Gyorko 95% of Rendon's season stats come from 2 games.
  22. You think he can be that good of a shooter? I don't see a scorer out of Ball like Curry/IT/Harden/etc where he scores like 24+ pts/game. I see him more like of a Jason Kidd mold (with a slightly better offensive game) where he'll go like 18/6/8. Maybe a Chris Paul with less assists a better comparison?
  23. Even if Celtics traded for Butler/PG at the deadline this season, they're still down 2-0. They gotta go after Blake Griffin (I'd pass)/Ibaka/maybe Millsap or Noel and really think about going after a Butler/PG type in a trade. Then they got a chance against the Cavs. You could go get Hayward and then trade for a big man (not sure who would be available) as well.
  24. Points in the first half: LeBron 22 Celtics 31 Woof...
