  1. Going from 3 to 18-24 (let's say 20 like you suggested) will get you the 20th, their 2nd, and 2018 1st at the very least and most likely more (Pace probably have to throw in one of this year 4th rounders). I honestly wouldn't be opposed to trading for Garoppolo with the 20th pick in that situation. Yeah, you trade away your 1st for a QB with limited action and only have 1 year left on his deal, but you gain picks in the other rounds plus got a future 1st. You could build around him pretty quickly to compete. If he's not who they thought he would be after 1 year of starting, let him go and draft a QB with one of the 1st in 2018. But then again, why not just draft Watson/Kizer/etc at 20 instead of Garoppolo?
  2. LOL. I haven't seen that yet. That's just horrible. He's underrated IMO. Closest guys I can think of in that era would be Bernard King or Alex English?
  3. Cavs "problem" is they literally got no one else who can handle the ball besides Kyrie/LeBron so one of them gotta be on the court. I mean... Kay Felder is the backup PG. If they got someone else who can at least handle the ball and goes through the plays, then you can sit Kyrie/LeBron at the same time at some point. Problem is that there's nobody out there really unless you want to get someone like Mario (meh), Nate Robinson (can handle the ball a little and score in bursts, but nothing else), or a Lance Stephenson (headcase, but really talented and can do it all). If LeBron can keep Lance in check somehow, that's a huge boost for the Cavs. Is JR supposed to come back at all this season? Can't remember how bad his injury was.
  4. Just give me Trout. horsefeathers pitchers.
  5. Heck you got some players that were converted from position to pitching and vice versa... (not sure if any of those are actually in the HOF though)
  6. Pfftt. That's a no brainer.
  7. Wait... Brett Anderson isn't even 29 yet? Wtf? I would've guess he's at least 32. If it goes through, I like it. I rather have Monty be the 5th SP, but he'll be on an innings limit (if Cubs do want him to be a SP for '18 and beyond) so somebody else will have to be the 5th SP for 10-15 starts. Not sure if there's a better option out there besides Hammel or thru trade. I wonder what type of $$$ he's getting and if Cubs get an option year or 2.
  8. I cover high school softball a lot and even the really good teams don't have anyone that can hit the ball hard enough to hit an infielder in the head. That ball, at that size, is just not going to go that fast unless Barry Bonds or someone is taking a whack. Lol, what? I've seen way too many girls get hit by line drives. it's why so many of them wear masks on the infield. my god, I saw a pitcher take one off the forehead this past season that the left fielder had to go back to damn near the warning track to pick up Yep pretty much. I've seen a bunch of line drives when I watched the softball team when I was in HS. I got proof in my high school yearbook when my cousin won the prettiest eye in our class senior year. She broke her orbital bone (or whatever it's called) a week before she had to take the pic. She took a line drive and had no chance to even react to it.
  9. The complete mediocrity of the show is totally worth any and all Tom Hardy scenes in seasons 2 and 3. Yeah, it's a horsefeathers show that I can't help but watch because of the cast. I have a sneaking suspicion that upcoming Tom Hardy show on FX is going to be the same way. DAMN YOU, SEXY TOM HARDY. Taboo? I thought the first episode was really good. Then again, I thought the best scenes was when he was in it. Lol
  10. I'm not sure Adams is just strictly a SS. He got the speed and range to play FS.
  11. Spotrac puts Jeffery market value at 4/46 which is 11.5 mil/yr. Puts him in the 5-10 range for WRs. It shows comparables, how his avg stacks up against them, and how they adjust the $$$. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/chicago-bears/alshon-jeffery-9855/market-value/
  12. What really scares me about Jeffery now is a failed test. Next time would be 8 games or a year? That def comes into play now. I still offer him what TY Hilton got (5/65), but less guaranteed (28 mil).
  13. Just when I thought my love for this team can't get any higher. That video just makes me love them even more. "This is for Kris Bryant." was horsefeathers great.
  14. They should receive the harshest penalty MLB can handout. I want a forfeiture of their first 3 draft picks for 2017, the first 2 for 2018, and their 1st in 2019 with corresponding financial penalties. Their 1st round draft pick should go to the Astros in 2017 with the rest distributed to the teams in the NL Central. I horsefeathering hate the Cardinals with a white hot passion. I hate everything about the from their stupid red uniforms to their smug, stupid, hillbilly fans all wearing red to the game. They're all a bunch of horsefeathers nuts. However as much as it pains me to write, they've made some pretty good moves this offseason and I expect them to be right there with the Cubs. As in 10 games back instead of 17.5?
  15. A full on soccer/basketball collision may be just as hard on the head as the biggest of football ones, but football adds on a lot of little ones on top of that AND has an ingrained culture about "toughing it out" that just makes it extra reckless in the wrong hands. Probably harder considering there's no pads to "protect" themselves in those sports. It also happens a lot less often and usually you don't see the same person getting concussed over and over.
  16. Steve Young for upside? Another one I thought of was good Steve McNair.
  17. Cam Newton immediately came to mind. Hmm... thought he started his sophomore year at Florida. I stand corrected then. Still scares me to draft Turbisky although I do like his tools/skill set.
  18. Question for everyone... how early does tackle football starts in your area? It's now 7th grade around here. Back when I was in school, it was 5th/6th grade. I guess they scrap that a few years ago. I don't blame you doing that for your son. My cousin's husband who played for Wisconsin-Whitewater (right before they got amazing) said he won't let his son play football until high school and only if his son can convince him. And as far as I know, he didn't have any concussions or injuries in UW-W, but know buddies that are still feeling the effects. It's going to be interesting because the son is 3 and he's like 3' tall and 50 lbs or something crazy.
  19. Here's the thing about Turbisky. Can anyone think of a QB who started just 1 year in college and had a successful career in the NFL? I can't think of one. Maybe Trubisky will be the exception, but that scares me.
  20. If Tyrod Taylor is kept on March 12th, Bills are on the hook for 27.5 mil this season! The 2/27 deal is just the base salary IIRC. He has a 15.5 mil roster bonus on 3/12. The thing is... he can't be cut or possibly traded before that unless Bills want to fight against his agent and NFLPA. And no team would trade for him since he had surgery, can't pass a physical, and let Bills get out of that mess they created. Their only hope is that his rehab goes well (supposed to be 6-8 weeks), takes a physical on the 11th and he pass then cut him for no cap hit. You guys will really undervalue what he would get on the market. His agent will be looking at Brock's as a floor as Taylor been better, proven to do it longer, and still on the right side of 30. Wouldn't shock me if he gets something close to Cutler's.
  21. Watson is not a reach at #3, IMO. I feel he is the best QB in this draft, despite what the "experts" say. Bill Parcells has his criteria that all QBs must meet in order for his team to be interested (granted, it's a little outdated). 1. Must be a senior 2. Must be a graduate 3. Must be a 3-year starter 4. Must have 23 wins The only one Watson doesn't fit is a senior. He's also the only top QB who comes close to fitting any of these. As for #2, I think the Jets could trade up to 3. They did just take Petty and Hackenberg, but neither are the answer. They supposedly love Trubisky. Buffalo could trade up from 10. And the Browns, with their 2nd 1st rounder and 2 2nd round picks, could also trade back up and take the best QB in addition to drafting the best defensive player in the draft at #1 (Garrett). The Browns also supposedly love Trubisky. Aaron Rodgers went 0-for-4 in Bill Parcells' criteria. Heck... what QB in the NFL right now meet all 4? Russell Wilson?
  22. Does anybody know how far will Adoree Jackson fall after his injury? I would love the Bears to get him.
  23. 1)Watson would be a huge over-reach at #3 imo 2)who would want to trade up to the third pick? It's an honest question On your 2nd part... Jets might move up to get their QB maybe? Then again.. if one of Garrett or Allen is available, I can see multiple teams calling, but not sure if they will offer enough for Bears to move down. I think we're in a great spot in the draft this year. I can't see Browns or 49ers moving so depending on which way the first 2 picks goes, the 3rd pick might be the spot where teams start calling to see if Bears will budge and after seeing Pace trade down a bunch in the 2nd last year, he'll move if the offer is right. Or we stay and get an elite talent.
  24. I think people need to move on from Taylor. I can't see Bills cutting or trading him since he had his surgery. He's owed like 27.5 mil next season (12 mil base + 15.5 mil roster bonus). Sure they could release him or trade, but there's been talks that if he's cut, his agent and NFLPA will argue that Bills should still pay the 15.5 mil roster bonus because they cut him before he's declared "healthy". He have to get that healthy tag before March 12th if they don't want to pay the roster bonus. Plus what team will trade him and gift the Bills to get out of this mess and not to pay him unless you basically get him for free? http://sports.yahoo.com/news/tyrod-taylors-surgery-might-be-latest-indication-he-and-bills-are-headed-for-split-175204163.html;_ylt=A0LEV0hxQ3BYFvAAcClx.9w4;_ylu=X3oDMTEyNGl0bGR0BGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjI1MzZfMQRzZWMDc2M- I just have a hard time seeing Taylor being available. I guess Bills could reach a settlement before they release him?
  25. the other teams had 10, 9 and 8 wins this year. They aren't world beaters. The Vikings gave away a first for freaking Sam Bradford and it blew up on them, and that situation isn't getting better. This isn't the AFC East. Anybody can win this division. Packers ended on a 6 game winning streak to get to 10 wins. Vikings was 5-0 to start the season and somehow only got 8 wins with Bradford setting the all time record in comp % in a season. It just shows you that things can change in a hurry. Lions are just the Lions. None of them makes me think, "oh god... we have zero chance at division/playoffs."
