  1. I can't really see the point of that. I'm also leery of this assumption that Hayward to Boston is a done deal. For better or for worse I think Ainge will want to see all 3 of those Brooklyn picks get drafted before doing anything with them. I agree. I think they'll go after a big man to pair with Horford before they go for Hayward then they'll look to see what it'll take to get Butler/PG.
  2. literally nothing in this sentence is accurate. Yes, I over exaggerated a ton here. It just seems like they been sucking forever. Here is what they actually had though the past few years. 2017: 3rd pick plus 4 2nd (36/39/45/50) 2016: 3 1st (1/24/26) 2015: 3rd plus 5 2nd (35/37/47/58/60) 2014: 2 1st (3/10) plus 5 2nd (32/39/47/52/54) 2013: 11th plus 2 2nd (35/42) 2012: 15th plus 2 2nd (45/54) It's still early to call on the '15/'16 class and 2nd rounders hit rate is pretty low, but that's a horsefeathers ton of draft picks the past few years to make them better and it still haven't gotten them out of the celler. This will be the 4th straight year having a top 3 pick. Even with the multiple 1st coming in 2018 and 2019, they already had a shot with these picks. Maybe Embiid and Simmons will stay healthy this time around and it'll turn around for them.
  3. They've been in top 5 picks for like 10 years now and several #1. They already had their shot and then some. Maybe they'll draft a guy that actually play their rookie season.
  4. Are we even sure that he had one done?
  5. It's true that the value is a little light (I probably would've asked for like maybe a 2018 4th or maybe a 2019 pick if that's possible?- just to squeeze a little more from them). I wonder what pick Chiefs would've had to be in order for Pace to pull the trigger assuming the offer was legit? 23? 20? I don't think you would get that offer if they were in the top 20 IMO. It would've been interesting to see what kind of draft we would've had instead with these: 27 2- 2nd 2- 3rd 2- 4th 5th 7th then have 2- 1st, 2nd next season Pace really would've had the ammo to move up next season for a QB if he wanted to. Could've set up the team to rebound quickly if he hit on a few of those picks.
  6. I wonder how Glennon is feeling right now considering Bears/Pace invited him to come to the Bears draft party that each team have. He was there when they move up to get Trubisky. I can only imagine he wanted to break horsefeathers if he was home watching the draft, but instead, he was with other Bears personnel/players/fans.
  7. This is a bigger deal than you think. Start naming QBs who were/are successful in the NFL that had basically 1 year of starting in college. You got Cam and uhhh.... ??? I will say this though, even with the 1 year thing, he's the QB I want if you gave me the option to pick any out of this class. I just thought with how the team roster/coaching is right now and having Glennon that Pace would've been better off getting Adams/Hooker, Lattimore, Thomas/Allen at 3 and keeping those picks.
  8. This whole week with Thor is just horsefeathering glorious. :-({|=
  9. So much for that...
  10. Eagles moved up 6 spots, Bears just 1. Wentz is also probably the more highly regarded prospect?
  11. No need to trade both when 1 of them would be enough.
  12. Presumably to end up in the horde if picks going to the Bears for Mitchell Trubisky, per Greg Gabriel. I can't imagine what the package would look like if this actually happens.
  13. I'm guessing it's Cook for Chiefs?
  14. Yeah, I agree. Never doubted the work ethic and commitment to improve. I just hate his new swing, but it's working so far. If he keeps this up I'll gladly eat some crow at the end of the season :D . So you like his old swing?
  15. So stupid that it's blacked out for me and it's on ESPN.
  16. Is there something I'm missing with the Canaan part? I keep hearing it.
  17. horsefeathers, you could probably put LeBron on the Nets and they'd be a title contender. He basically had nothing but bums around him in the Finals two years ago when Kyrie and Love were out, and they still gave Golden State a fight. That's went LeBron deserves more credit when it comes to the GOAT discussion. Granted, he played in some poor conferences but he has turned some otherwise bad teams into title contenders and I'm not sure if other great players have done this. Like last night with Deron Williams, Kyle Korver, and Channing Frye. Westbrook is the only other player this year that I can think of that could've willed his team to come back from 26 pts. It was incredible to watch. Poor Paul George. First, he thought he "should" take the last shot in game 1 which is the funniest thing ever because he's like 0 for 376548 in game tying/winning shot with 20 sec or less in the game in his career. Then he had to see last night happen on his home court and couldn't stop LeBron.
  18. I once volunteered and got $800 and was rebooked on another flight 6 hours later. This situation, sounds like they had to stay overnight in Chicago. I agree, stop being cheap. I got $800 and got a free room at the hotel next to the airport since my flight was at 10 at night and the next was 7 am. Used the $800 on another flight that I wouldn't have planned if I didn't volunteered so it worked out. Still, it's a volunteer program. You can't just forced someone to leave without a good reason. All of this so United employees can get on the plane (they can't get on other planes, wait for the next, find another way, call Louisville saying that you can't make it so they'll have to call another employee to come in, etc...???).
  19. Dude... it's incredible the path we're going down as a country these days. It's just disgusting. I mean, almost EVERYONE has some type of past. Even if he did a past (which he does IIRC), it still doesn't give an excuse for that assault and everything that happened. Which also bring up another point... why are flights keep getting overbooked? I mean, is it THAT hard to keep track of how many seats they have left on the plane or something?
  20. Every time I see him with his goatee, he reminds me of a young Tank Abbott. http://17r1l63fshd52dy9yakdizhkog.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Tank-Abbot.png
  21. A telltale sign not to click a link. [tweet] [/tweet] Uhh??? Nothing about being a restricted FA. Also that other rule at the bottom is something I've never heard of though. Is that new or has it always been there? I hope you pointed it out to him that article says absolutely nothing about a restricted FA.
