  1. Shouldn't Smyly be able to get some starts in Sept? Maybe even in Aug?
  2. I'm going to guess that they're going to look for a Brett Anderson type SP where it's a 1 year deal for that 5th spot and hopes he stays healthy.
  3. I'm somewhat hoping for this just for the fact they'll be able to get a nice package to trade down. I still don't see us worse than 6th pick when it's all said and done.
  4. yes why would anybody want to watch their favorite team's #2 overall pick starting qb when they could be doing...something... on a sunday at noon how is pure bandwagon/fairweather fanning even fun? do i gain interest/excitement when my teams are good? sure, but i never completely go dark on them. It’s not fairweathering when you know the team is garbage from the start. I want them to be good, but I’m not going to invest three hours every weekend to watching them suck. I barely watched the 2013 or 2014 Cubs either https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fair-weather
  5. Hahahah! Man, you gotta press this. Yeah that was probably the worst thing he could have possibly said unless it's followed by a 20 minute diatribe about the misguided adventures of said Bum. You were close, but it was ~15 minutes of the craziest/dumbest/annoying/etc people he had to deal with during his time there. He wouldn't go more into Da Bum at that time. I'll ask him again next time I see him.
  6. Inman is a FA after this season.
  7. Btw... I asked my buddy Brian who lived/worked at Windermere at the same time as Da Bum about him. His response? "Don't ever mention his name again." LOL
  8. You got this, the AJ Green/Ramsey fight, and Carlos Hyde fight all today. I guess these guys were in the mood after watching UFC last night.
  9. I was going to say. Was there anyone on NSBB at the time who said they didn't want Heyward or think he wasn't worth the contract?
  10. So what was the flag? Trying to figure out what would've been the penalty.
  11. Why?
  12. So you're dismissing him out of hand because of the possibility of another failed test? When his next one is a year long suspension, it definitely plays into things. I brought him up, I'd take a shot on him. But, I'm not giving up a 4th or more. If he's a nuisance and they'd deal him for a 6th or 7th, I'd be in. But, he's not a guy you extend currently. He's definitely a guy you proceed with caution on, especially considering his immaturity that he's showing currently. I love the talent, but I'm not even sure I'd truly want his potential attitude issues around Trubisky. The next one is Josh Gordon territory. He already did his year long suspension last season. He'll be suspended indefinitely on the next failed test.
  13. Brandon Marshall. No that won't happen, but he'll probably end up being one of the few trade deadline rumor candidates. Isn't he out for the year?
  14. there will be just as many times where a guy slides to the bag, taps it with his finger, but keeps a foot in line or spins around so his hand is even with the bag as there are times where a foot pops up for a split second while a tag is on. It's not a fix. If Javy starts making crazy spin around slides, that would be cool. Fixed
  15. I hope so if you're running 40 times a game. Being that predictable doesn't make it easier to run. Not saying that. Just saying because of volume. When you run that many times, you're going to rack up yards. It's still impressive because of the 8-9 man fronts they see. How do we rank in carries in NFC and NFL?
  16. I hope so if you're running 40 times a game.
  17. I'm not sure if Trubisky is slow on his reads. I feel like it's more of the fact of the WRs inability to create separation and he's trying to give them more time to do so.
  18. 175ish IIRC
  19. Is it just me or has Fuller looked better this year?
  20. Wow... that C is being real subtle raising his mitt up after a low pitch.
  21. Nice! Yeah, it's a total cliche, but it definitely was a whole "sick and tired of being sick and tired" thing. It's nice to be able to do things like actually get a restful night's sleep or not having your knees kill you all the damn time. Totally. Mine was ankles/toes because of gout. Gout sucks because I basically cut out red meat/beans/shellfish/etc because just enough of that (which didn't take much) would make it flare up like a bitch. Of course, those are things I love to have so there was a little adjustment period. I had my last Coke 3 weekends ago and I can't believe the differences nowadays of not having that crap. Also no Coke=no alcohol so it's been interesting being sober while watching everyone else gets hammered.
