  1. Maddux is flat out dealing right now. I'm loving it.
  2. Jacque once hit in 28 consecutive games? Wow. That's surprising.
  3. Lets get a few more runs. It can't hurt. In the meantime, I'm going to get myself a Guinness.
  4. I'm sure it is, but just to be safe, let's get a few more.
  5. Barrett deserves to bat fifth right now. Jones should know that.
  6. If you want to update your previous post, on pg 5, when all the games are done, I'll go through mine, update it for today, and check what we have different.
  7. Too bad you got rid of him for the Home Run Derby competition. He might have helped you a little bit. Yeah, I have a feeling I'm gonna regret choosing Jhonny Peralta over him when the final numbers are tallied. And for the record, I voted Gomes as the 2005 AL ROY. My friend is a DRays fan so I hear about these guys a lot. Hey, I picked Jacque Jones. We all make mistakes.
  8. It's still three hours until game time. Can they start early?
  9. They chose to sign Nomar. They knew what they were getting themselves into. The rest of the team I can't speak for, but Nomar has a history.
  10. for those of you who always thought there was no rhyme or reason to the ballclub Hendry assembled, I think this should do away with it. clearly Hendry assembled as many guys that suck against Brett Tomko as humanly possible. I didn't even know that that many people sucked against Tomko. I didn't think it was possible. I just figured everybody could hit him.
  11. moron is usually more effective. inside joke you aren't inside on, it appears Clearly not, I'm still just an "everyday player" and I'm not ready to compete with the "All-Stars." Well, you're in on the joke now - all Cubs fans should be: http://img.impirius.net/misc/morans.jpg Everytime I see that, I just have to laugh.  That's good. I hadn't seen that before.
  12. I'm sure Mr. Aardsma is angry that you stole his mugshot I'm sure that Aramis is angry that you are stealing pictures of his pose. And I'm sure that broom doesn't appreciate you stealing his likeness. And I'm sure that Hobbes doesn't appreciate you stealing his child. Anyways...woo Aardsma! I received the express written consent of Bill Watterson. Did the Farns give you permission to use his photo as well?
  13. That's the problem. He hasn't shown the ability to stay healthy.
  14. Too bad you got rid of him for the Home Run Derby competition. He might have helped you a little bit.
  15. That's why I did it. I enjoy seeing the Cards at the bottom. I'm sure their fans would do the same with the Cubs when posting standings. Also, I've seen some sites put teams in alphabetical order if they are tied in the standings.
  16. The Reds will drop. They may hang around until June or July, but they'll still finish in 5th or 6th place. The Reds have no pitching. I would expect the other 4 to all hang around though.
  17. I'll go so far as to say that if he isn't significantly over .500....or alternatively doesn't at least finish the year on a hell of a streak which gets us into the playoffs, where he continues to dominate...then he'll be as good as gone next year. I hope he does both of htose thing...cause I really like his mound presence and his makeup...now if is right arm would just comply. Even if he does well this year I think we should only give him a one year deal or an incentive-laced deal just to be careful. I do hope he comes back healthy although with his past I'm don't really have any expectations.
  18. My dad will never forget that trade. Every once and a while I'll ask him "how did Delino work out for you" and he'll just shake his head and say "I can't believe we got rid of Pedro." Pretty funny.
  19. Moveon.org lets move on. Dubois was loveable, but in no way does he have anything to prove. Lets keep Jones for at least 2 more months in RF and see what he can do. Our offense seems okay for now. Agreed. Wait and see if Jones starts to hit a little bit before worrying about another outfielder. We know Lee and ARam are going to hit. Barrett and Murton can be decent hitters. Let's just hope Jones turns it around a little.
  20. Don't worry, I'm an engineering major. We have to know how to use excel to get by in school. At least at my school we do.
  21. Were any of mine wrong and if so, which ones?
  22. Aardsma should stand on the mound like that when he is getting the sign from the catcher. He might make a couple hitters laugh to hard to hit the ball.
  23. Dunn always has a chance at the record. If only Jose Hernandez was playing every day they could have a strikeout-off. dunn has the record I know that. But he can break his own record, which would still be considered as him breaking his own record. Let me rephrase it. Dunn always has a chance at 200 K's.
