    For which school, Davis? Illinois. No idea what to expect for the aggies - except that their stadium is smaller than my high schools. hopefully they removed the bees. Well, based on the fact that the team has had 36 straight winning seasons in football, I would guess at least 6-5. After that I'm not really sure. We will have a new stadium for next year. It was supposed to be ready for this year but the university came up with some BS excuses and it won't be completed until the beginning of 2007. I think it will start off with 15000ish seats and has the potential to be expanded to 30000. where? Southwest corner of the Hutchison and LaRue intersection. It's on the southwest part of campus as well near the ARC/Pavilion and new parking structure.

    Georgia Tech will not beat Notre Dame. I would love it if they did, but it's not going to happen.

    Who's going to get hurt next for the Red Sox? Schilling? Beckett? I mean, it can't get much worse now can it?

    Can I change my vote? I put 2 but then I read Truffle's "pick em leagues don't count' stipulation which means I'm not in any. I'm not big into fantasy sports leagues.

    The smart money is on the dumpster giving up 7 runs and losing the game. We don't have a big enough lead for the dumpster to come in. Drinking yet Jim?

    When I first heard this stat used a couple weeks ago I was surprised that Dusty had never kept Z out there for a whole game yet this year.

    I was saying the same thing during the World Cup.

    I've been saying this for a couple months now and will continue to say it. Dusty will not be fired at any point this year. His will simply not be offered a new contract and the team will "go in another direction."

    No he said it will be interesting to see if they call him up. Well, that's what happens when you are only half listening to the game. It sounded like Len thought Pie would be called up at some point in September to get some experience. I would like to see Pie get called up just to see what he can do.

    That's not entirely fair at all and you know it. Dempster wasn't a closer his whole career. but he's been a pitcher his whole career. and not a very good one. i don't know why people expect some miraculous turnaround out of a guy becaues he's now pitching one inning instead of five. it's still the same pitcher. http://espn.go.com/i/magazine/new/metro_eric_gagne.jpg Obviously I realize that Gagne is an outlier but look at his career stats. He was average at best as a starter but became one of the best closers in the game. Not everybody is going to be Eric Gagne but it isn't out of the realm of possibility for a mediocre starter to become a solid reliever/closer.

    I don't know what the future plans are for this movie but if/when it comes out on DVD, somebody post the info on this site because I want to see this movie.

    The Red Sox have had a Cub-like couple of weeks with the health of their players. Ortiz has an irregular heart-beat, Lester could have a serious illness, Ramirez with a bum knee, Pena with a bad wrist... Don't forget about losing Varitek a few weeks ago as well.

    Yeah, Beck was horrible in 2000, 2001, and 2003.
