  1. I saw it similar to the straight red Liverpool got against Spurs and the Romero red against Chelsea. There wasn't malicious intent but it's still a dangerous play and probably a deserved red.
  2. Games left: If ManU loses to Galatasaray, they're out. If they tie or beat Galatasaray, they're still probably going to need at least a draw, and maybe a win, against Bayern in the last match week. Now, you might be thinking well that shouldn't be too hard. They're at home and Bayern has already won the group. However Bayern has won 16 straight group stage games and is unbeaten in their last 37 in the group stage. Coming into today, I figured they'd beat Copenhagen and still get out of the group. Now, I'm not so sure.
  3. The length of review is definitely a huge issue in all sports. If it’s close enough that it’s going to take 4 minutes to review it, leave the call as is and move on. Limit these things to 60 seconds at most and be done with it.
  4. I'll give Klopp and Arteta half a pass because the two calls (offside for Liverpool, non-foul for Arsenal) were pretty bad. Klopp's problem is he didn't leave it at that. He kept ranting about the red cards too, which was dumb. Arteta I thought it was funny that he said the call cost them 3 points. It cost them 1 since Arsenal couldn't score. The foul is at least open to interpretation. The offsides call is black and white and there's no reason to get that thing wrong. But overall I agree. They just complain for the sake of complaining. It's one reason why I can't stand Mourinho or Conte either. Like you said, nothing is their fault. They like to take credit for wins but blame anything other than themselves for losses.
  5. I wasn’t watching today, just listening to a radio broadcast until halftime. Vicario has been a great acquisition so far this year and it sounded like he was really good again today. Lloris was starting to get a bit shaky at the end and it’s always nice to have faith in your GKer.
  6. The sports universe is cruel. The Cubs hire Counsell and Spurs need less than 6 minutes to take the lead against Chelsea. Since then Romero got sent off and conceded a penalty because he’s a dumbass who makes a bunch of over aggressive challenges. Then our best CB injured his hamstring and Maddison also goes off injured.
  7. Well we know GR’s alternate account now.
  8. Boy I didn’t see this one coming. Seemed like he was ticketed for New York.
  9. I thought they said during the game it was Rex Grossman, not Tebow.
  10. Standard Lincoln Riley defense. In 8 games against major conference teams, they’ve give up 40+ points in regulation 4 times and at least 28 points 7 times. The only one they didn’t was Stanford who is 2-6.
  11. This Denver court is hideous.
  12. LOL Raiders
  13. Bears fans laughing about Jordan Love sucking in 2023 only for Love to suck so bad the Packers get to draft their next franchise QB would be quite hilarious.
  14. I’m perfectly fine with this WS and will enjoy not having a team in there that I don’t want to win, which has been pretty common the past 6 years with Houston or LA in there every year.
  15. Yep, just learned this tonight. Had no idea prior to today.
  16. Lucky you not remembering Ron Washington not having Nelson Cruz further back (or removing him for a better defender) in Game 6.
  17. Anyone who argues for momentum in baseball existing just needs to be shown these two series. Houston was done after Game 2. Texas was done after Game 5. Arizona was done after Game 2. Arizona was done again after Game 5 (Philly is a monster at home!).
  18. Garcia going 4-5 with 2 dongs and 5 RBI in Game 7 is
  19. 4 out of 6. Lost in the LCS the other two years (18 and 20).
  20. After tonight, Schwarber is now tied for 4th in career postseason homers.
  21. LOL Jeter. Just try the hat on you goon.
  22. I think it was deserved. I understand the game situation part of it but it's an awfully big coincidence that a guy who hits a massive home run and celebrates, gets plunked on the first pitch, with a fastball, by a guy who had hit 3 guys in 72 innings this year in his very next PA. Oh, and the Astros were ticked earlier this year at a Garcia celebration following a grand slam. Could it have been an accident? Sure. But the optics sure don't look good at all. And again, you can certainly sell me on the game situation part (still a 4-2 game, nobody out but a runner on first). And it is the playoffs rather than the regular season. But I've got no issue with the umps taking preventative measures there.
  23. Though to be fair, the Marlins making the playoffs kind of is a smashing success for them.
  24. I know we all know the Coaches Poll is utterly useless but it’s still a disaster that I can’t help but look at. USC got demolished by Notre Dame, the only good team it’s played so far. Notre Dame has lost twice, but has played four teams currently ranked. So of course the coaches poll has USC above Notre Dame.
