I mean, you're the one seemingly pushing the panic button over a bad 6 games when, prior to these 6 games, the Cubs had won 12 of the 16 series since the ASB (along with two splits). Their last 6 losses, four were by 1 run and another one was by 2. The last time they lost a game by more than 4 runs was August 13. They've lost 11 times since then and only 2 were by more than 2 runs. Are you really trying to be so pessimistic to the extent that you have to be like "no actually the Cubs are BAD this year."

An underrated aspect of LOL Mets is you only have to adjust one letter and you get LOL Jets. And it’s just as applicable there too. Bears and Jets are just QB hell. There’s another universe where Wilson and Fields get picked by any other teams and they’re league average QBs right now.

That’s been the trend for a few years now. More extremes on both ends. There were 4 100 loss teams in each of the last 3 full seasons. There were also 3 in 2018. Of those 15 teams, 7 lost 105+. There was only 1 100 loss team total from 2014-17. Prior to 2019, there had been only 1 season with 4 100 loss teams (2002). Prior to 2017, we’d had 3+100 win teams in a season 5 times, and never with 4. Last year was the fifth straight full season with 3+ 100 win teams including 4 in 2019 and 2022. Last year nearly had 5 as the Yankees won 99. Arbitrary numbers but the 2016 Cubs were only the 2nd 103+ win team since the 04 Cards (the 09 Yankees also win 103). There have been 10 103+ win teams in the last 5 full seasons.

Baseball is baseball but outside of the two Atlanta series, they play bad teams (Mets twice, Cards and Pirates).

I had that one too. Also had USC-Stanford over 69.5. IT was 49-3 at halftime and then neither team scored until there was 3:35 left in the 4th. Two TDs in 3 minutes and they end at 66.
