  1. Would only be two teams in this case though. For the above to be the case the committee would have to rank Georgia over Bama which is never going to happen.
  2. Easy call for me but I seem to be in the minority in that thinking. From pure entertainment I hope FSU loses because I don’t think they’ll be as good without their QB. But if they win they should get in.
  3. Been a pretty good game. Georgia burned about a minute there not being able to pick up a first down with less than a yard to go on 3 different occasions on that drive. Had to burn a timeout before the 4th down play too.
  4. Maybe I don’t understand because I don’t make millions of dollars per year, but I don’t think I wouldn care about taxes at all in that case unless all else was equal about two places and I couldn’t decide.
  5. ManU was up 2-0 and 3-1 on Galatasaray but tied 3-3. That, combined with Copenhagen somehow getting a draw at Bayern Munich, means ManU needs to beat Bayern and hope Copenhagen-Galatasaray ends in a draw to advance. If there is a winner in that second game, that team moves on and ManU is out.
  6. That’s the same as the line would be for a top FBS team playing any FCS team.
  7. Iowa’s team total for the game is 6.5. I get it but it’s still hilarious to see.
  8. Have they ignored H2H before where the resumes were this similar? In 2016 Penn St went 11-2, won the Big 10 and beat Ohio State by 3 at home. But they also lost to an 8-4 Pittsburgh and lost to Michigan 49-10. Ohio State also won at a 10-2 Oklahoma by 21. Those resumes are not that similar. I'm not sure if there were other instances but I remembered something along those lines happening and was able to look it up. It is the ultimate trump card for Texas. They went to Alabama and controlled that game. They trailed for just over a minute at a place that nobody ever wins. If you just lined up the games, Bama's probably got a better resume. But it's not so much better that we can just ignore H2H. It's not like Bama lost to a team from a non-power 5 where the conference slate doesn't match up.
  9. All the undefeated are in with wins. So it would probably be Michigan, Washington and then Texas/FSU at 3 and 4 in some order. Sorry if it wasn’t clear what I meant it was in your first scenario.
  10. Texas gets the 4th spot in that scenario.
  11. Has Brandon Staley been fired yet?
  12. There is precedent for that. The year after their title FSU had a ton of close wins but stayed undefeated. That team was ranked 3rd behind a pair of 1 loss teams.
  13. Except this isn’t the transitive property. It would be two teams with similar resumes, both 12-1 and both conference champions. And one of them went to the other’s stadium and won convincingly. If it comes down to Texas or Bama, the choice should be very easy.
  14. And Texas wouldn’t be? It’s not like we’re debating Bama vs any non OU/Texas Big 12 team here. I do understand the cynicism with Bama though. I think it’s more likely the committee finds a way to put them in over Oregon instead. Assuming both win, they’d both have a loss to a top-10 team, Bama would have 4 ranked wins while Oregon would only have 2. Of course the committee currently has Oregon ahead of Bama.
  15. I mean I guess if Texas wins like a super ugly 2 point game and Bama demolishes Georgia then maybe. But the latter result seems very unlikely. And I don’t think Alabama has some crazy resume that puts them over the top.
  16. So... -Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Florida St are all in with a win. -Oregon is probably the only 1-win team that's in with a win. -Texas probably needs two of the undefeated teams to lose or they need one to lose and Washington to beat Oregon. -If Bama wins they jump Georgia but you can't put Bama over a 1-loss Texas. Bama needs two of the non-Georgia teams above them to lose. -Ohio St would need Georgia, Oklahoma St and Louisville to all win. And maybe Washington too since that would eliminate the chance of two Pac-12 teams getting in. So we'd end up with Georgia, Michigan, Washington (or Oregon) and OSU.
  17. That’s totally fair. I was just comparing the stats since Andy just mentioned another QB who was awful as a rookie but still become a star. More goes into it than just stats though Allen also had a sub 60% completion percentage in college so when he was at 52.8% as a rookie, there was a lot of bust talk with him.
  18. Bryce Young currently has a better completion percentage, QB rating, TD to INT ratio and a lower interception percentage than Josh Allen did as a rookie.
  19. Don’t forget about a 1 loss Texas. There’s no way they get left out at 12-1 if Bama goes 12-1 and gets in.
  20. Playing off the old Tarkanian quote, the Premier League was so mad at Man City for breaching the profitability and sustainability rules that they docked Everton 10 points today.
  21. I understand in this case you’re going to see the Warriors, but if you want to go to a game and don’t care who the team is playing, just find an unpopular team. At least for the Kings out here, they usually have deals throughout the year. So in years past they have Black Friday deals where you can get discounted tickets. We bought a half season plan the first year they were in the new arena and now I’m on a friends and family list where I can get tickets without fees for Kings games and other events at the arena. But yeah, the prime games are stupid expensive. At the old Kings arena, I paid more to sit upper deck to see a bad Lakers team because they had Kobe and are a popular team than I did to sit about 12 rows up in the lower bowl to see the Lob City Clippers.
  22. Draymond going to get a couple games for this one.
  23. Philly trading Harden and starting 8-1 while the Clippers are 3-6 is hilarious.
  24. Glad I kept reading the thread before replying because I was going to post the same thing.
