  1. Wasn’t 2019 the juiced ball year when like 2/3 of the teams set franchise single season home run records? If so, doubt you’re getting that Alonso again but it also means he probably hasn’t gotten much worse. They just have a normal ball now.
  2. Thank you for this. I was going to search it out anyway for pure enjoyment like I used to with a Hawk call of any White Sox walk off loss.
  3. Cubs had a forfeit lineup out that day and still managed to win.
  4. Prior to this winning streak, Fangraphas had our playoff odds at 6.3 percent. It's now at 21.8 percent. The Cards in that same span want from 11.6 to 4.0.
  5. Yeah, any doubt went out the window when you throw at him a second time.
  6. No harm until waiting until after the Cards series. Winning 4 of the next 5 changes the equation a bit especially with the soft August schedule.
  7. Eff Wild got a question about teams calling up the most top prospects in a certain span. They ran it both on total top-100 prospects called up in 1 or 2 years and then also weighted the score, so calling up the #1 guy is worth 100 points and calling up #100 is worth 1 point. I think they used BA. The list goes back to 1990. By total score, the 2015 Cubs lead the 1 year list and the 2014-15 Cubs lead the 2 year list. The 2014-15 Cubs were also tied for the most top-100 prospects called up in a 2 year span with 7. 8. I thought all the Bears talk migrated to 312Sports.com?
  9. He hit his first home run since May 20 today. Prior to going 4-4 today, he had a .464 OPS since May 24.
  10. What is it about the throw to second that seems to cause pitchers way more of an issue than it should?
  11. A rare good day for me and got 8 of 9. Couldn’t think of a Rays/Jays player. Pulled
  12. There were 3 games today that finished 11-10 and another that ended 16-13 and none of them went extra innings. Three other teams also scored 10+ runs in a game.
  13. I suck at this game. It’s still fun to try but I’m very bad at it.
  14. Meanwhile the Cardinals have gone the other way the last couple months OH WAIT never mind they still suck.
  15. Great Wimbledon final today and glad Alcaraz won. He’s certainly looking like the next big thing. Two majors now, one on hard court and the other on grass. None of the other younger guys (who aren’t even that young anymore) have proven to win consistently either so we’ll see how many Alcaraz can rack up.
  16. Ditto. I remember the Yankees but not Cleveland.
  17. Got 6 of 6 but had nothing for the whole Cleveland column.
  18. Chapman is on the Rangers now. Got traded a week ago.
  19. All three Cardinals ones were easy and pretty obvious. So we’re the 40HR ones. Guessed Maybin for Det-Atl and David Justice for NYY-Atl. Couldn’t get Det-Col though.
