  1. I was just about to say I don’t trust Wesneski one bit.
  2. 47-40 at the break, 50-25 after. A couple weeks later they were 52-47 before finishing the year 45-18.
  3. I checked about 2015 out of curiosity and they matched 2014’s total of 73 wins on August 25. I was surprised for a minute that it was so late considering they won 97 games and this team won’t. But then I remembered the 2015 team just destroyed the league after the ASB.
  4. Just keep winning series and we’re good.
  5. This is where I’m at. Macro level a split is fine. But when you’re so close to a series sweep, it’s a bit disappointing to not have won 3 of 4 at least.
  6. Also we’re a better team than Cincy is.
  7. UMFan is the Fred of bad stats. And I say that in a friendly way. More funny than anything that you always seem to have a “this guy has struggled over the last X games or PAs”.
  8. Not going to win many games scoring 3 runs in 2 games.
  9. Two horsefeathers nights in a row. So stupid.
  10. So I guess Ross didn’t want to throw Alzolay for a fourth time in five games?
  11. Thanks Elly. Should have just taken the one rather than try for two. Hopefully they take advantage of it.
  12. Reread it sober in the morning. Literally one guy had a bad comment - the one you mentioned - and factually it's a true statement. A couple people simply said that Adbert stunk tonight or didn't have it (can't argue there). Tonight was like a 2 on a 1-10 scale of overreactions.
  13. Too drunk to understand why people might be upset that the team blew a ninth inning lead? Don’t be dense. I mean, sure. Big picture it’s good to split. But circumstances change and we had a game in the bank and were two outs from a second win. It’s not that hard to understand.
  14. Would definitely be different under the old format. But the Cental winner and WC1 both get a home series and there doesn’t seem to be a difference in playing LA or Atl if you advance.
  15. I posted this the other day but any result other than Mil winning 2 of 3 is okay for us, right? Like even Milwaukee sweeping and we can close ground on WC1 and a home series.
  16. Marlins weren't just 9.5 games ahead of the Cubs but they had the second best record in the NL at the ASB. Arizona was 9 up on the Cubs too. They were also tied with the Dodgers for 1st in the NL West. Now they're, well, not close to being tied for 1st place.
  17. Let’s see where Wicks is at by the end of the year. I know we’re all hopeful but it’s been one start in the majors. Wicks has never thrown 100 innings in a full season. Assad has topped out at 116 (in 2019) threw 108 last year and is at 79 this year. There’s no way those two guys are pitching a full season as starters next year. If Kyle keeps this up for another month you 100% pick up that option.
