MLB Audio sucks this year. For one, it’s delayed just as much as the video and has frequently been behind gameday. I also can’t listen to the audio on the same page as gameday anymore. And the page that brings up the audio only shows the line score, the pitcher, the batter and the next two to bat. It doesn’t show the number of outs or the count anymore. Last year it also had a full box score if you scrolled down. Hopefully they’re going to update it but right now this is a huge downgrade.
With a couple missed or made shots, we could have three different final four teams. -Michigan buzzer beating 3 to beat Houston by 1 -Loyola hit a 3 with less than a second left to beat Miami by 2, then hit a jumper with 5 seconds left to beat Tennessee by 1 -Kansas needed Allen's shot at the buzzer to roll out to go to overtime.
Gotta love Trent and Allen continuing to jack up 3’s (3-18 before Allen’s meaningless one at the end) as Bagley gets 9 shots total. And why teams repeatedly go for 3s late like that astounds me. Down 3 with 50 seconds? Jack up a 3. Down 5 with 30 seconds left? Jack up more 3’s.
Did you forget who you were talking about? If I could use only 1 sentence to describe Derwood, this would be second behind 'why are you commenting on something you know nothing about?' Sofa's line is reserved for Rondon Fan in the game threads.
So in the last 45 seconds Xavier let 22 seconds run off the clock (including a timeout in the middle) before fouling while down 1 with 22 seconds left. Then down three, they walk the ball up the court and hoist a 3. It was an open one but show some urgency and maybe go to the basket.
It was two games involving maybe the best team in the tournament and a team with a ton of talent. Those were always likely to be two of the worst games of the day.
First major conference to not have a single team in the final 32 since the Big 12 formed in 1996-97. I imagine in the preseason Miller channeled his inner Jeff Fisher on Hard Knocks and told his team "I'm not horsefeathering losing in the Elite 8 again. This team is too talented." Well, you didn't lose in the Elite 8 again, Sean.
Save some of your anger for stupid Davidson too That's annoying for sure but I was on record even before all of this that I was fine with the NIT as long as horsefeathering Syracuse didn't get yet another horsefeathering gift bid. This wouldn't have helped Notre Dame at all this year but would it be ridiculous to make a team at least go .500 in conference play if they want to make the tournament? Not even over .500, just go 9-9. I don't think that's too much to ask for.
Virginia was down 4 and at the free throw line shooting 3 free throws with 0.9 seconds and won the game in regulation. -two made free throws -lane violation on the third one on Virginia -traveling on Louisville on the inbounds -banked in 3-pointer for the win.
