  1. I’d really like to see them come out Week 1 and do a mass kneel like they did the one week last year after Trump ranted about them. I mean, I hope they do it every week but even doing it once right off the bat would be a big Eff You to the league.
  2. I might be out on the NFL next year.
  3. Game 7 should be fun on Wednesday.
  4. He got a bad reputation because of a couple bad plays against the Mets in the 2015 playoffs. Watching him day to day it was clear he could at least be passable in the outfield. At least he didn't look like he would kill himself anytime he came within 20 feet of the wall like Soler did.
  5. Blasting the Marlins twice, the White Sox once and the Reds three times in the span of two weeks will certainly help projections.
  6. These playoffs have sucked. Seems like a ton of blowouts and even the close games are kinda just overall horsefeathers basketball down to the final plays. Don't remember about how many blowouts but last year's playoffs were terrible also.
  7. The DBacks have the 8th best record in the NL and are winning the division.
  8. Coomer just said Baez’s “baseball acronym is off the charts.” I went back and listened again to make sure I heard him right.
  9. The new guy who does PBP for Pat might actually be worse than Coomer. I had no idea what happened on the Heyward play other than 3 runs scored until I brought up the video.
  10. Good of Justin Wilson to make sure we don’t play too long in Game 1.
  11. The 1987 Royals also went 83-79.
  12. The team that absolutely destroyed us in the NLCS last year? Yeah they really got us there. We didn't beat their ass en route to actually winning a championship or anything. So to recap... 2016: Cubs beat Dodgers in the NLCS and then the Cubs won a World Series. 2017: Dodgers beat Cubs in NLCS and then the Dodgers lose a crushing World Series. 2018: The Dodgers are dog horsefeathers. The Cubs are somehow above .500. Yeah sign me up to be the Dodgers, you're a horsefeathering idiot. Might as well add 2015 on there. Dodgers don't win a playoff series. Cubs win the wild card game and then dong their biggest rival into submission in the NLDS.
  13. #2, to be specific. If they get Doncic, I'm going to be pissed. I bet they take either Ayton or Bagley. They already have Fox and are probably too stupid to think about playing both together. Plus they have Bogdanovic and Hield, aka Steph Curry 2.0.
  14. grichuk? Only if he got to play the Cubs every game.
  15. The difference is the Heat were actually a good team. I know the Cavs just rolled the Raptors but this is the same team that struggled to get by the Pacers. Stevens is going to exploit every little thing he can and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Boston won the series.
  16. They're also 8 games out of first, having dug themselves an enormous hole against an easy early schedule, and even if you put them as good a team as the DBacks right now, they're still projecting to finish 83-79 right now and well out of a playoff spot. Projected to finish ahead of them are the Cubs (95-67), the Dbacks (93-69), the Nats (92-70), the Cards (89-73), the Brewers (85-77), the Braves (85-77), and the Pirates (84-78), with the Phillies (83-79) projected even with them and the Rockies (82-80) a game back. If the Dodgers play at a 100 win pace the rest of the year, they’ll win 91 games, which might only be good enough for a wild card. If they’re merely a very good team rather than a great team and play at a 95 win pace, they’ll be at 87-88, which means they’d have to fight to get a wild card spot.
  17. Brad Hand trying to blow it in San Diego. EDIT: Wong watches three straight sliders and the Cards lose. The first one was clearly outside but the next two were in the middle of the zone.
  18. Padres have 1st and 2nd with one out in the 10th and their 2 and 3 hitters coming up. Hope they don’t blow this one also. EDIT: Hosmer swings at a curve up at the letters and hits into a double play. Well done.
