That's a good explanation, they didn't move to center court until there were just so many students that it was necessary. It doesn't really matter to me either way because it's Kansas. And really, screw Kansas. And that was an awesome time. My head hurts with how loud it got in there near the end.

Apparently the Cards plan on filling 2B from "within the organization". That's terrific. -
That's exactly what I thought. Schumaker at 2nd? That would be awesome to watch. He might not be too terrible of an option. He was a SS in college. He's played 6 games on the infield in 8 professional seasons, all of them at third base and all of them 5 years ago.

Mizzou up to 17 in the AP and 19 in the Coaches. Beating #16 kansas would be a nice way to stay in the polls. Probably the biggest game in Mizzou Arena's short history, it should be awesome.

I really hope this is a precursor to Schumaker playing 2B everyday, that would be awesome. I really hope this isn't a precursor to the Cards signing Hudson to a 1 year deal, that would not be awesome.

Because we got burned on the Peavy deal and traded DeRosa to free up money before that was set in stone. I have no hope that this is true, but what if we were interested in Hudson to play SS and move Theriot to platoon with Fontenot? That would make me very happy. And I don't dislike Theriot that much. How's Hudson's defense at SS? He's never played there. However, his range at 2B is phenomenal, and his arm can't be worse than Theriot's.

Mizzou didn't screw up in Ames, with a comfortable double digit win. 7-2 in the conference now and 2 games up on 4th place, with Kansas coming to town on Monday. Finally, a Kansas game where we have a fighting chance of winning.

41 fouls called in the Nova-Cuse game. At the under-12 timeout in the 2nd half. And one of the referees hurt himself early and had to leave.

This makes me want to bang my head against a wall. Am I the only one who doesn't care at all who has done steroids, especially 6 years ago now? Don't care about Bonds, or Clemens, or McGwire, or A-Rod, or whoever else they want to say tested positive. The fact that this gets so much attention irritates me to no end.

With all due respect to Hosak and you, Dew, Tennessee deserves a better "coach" the Lane Kiffin. This kid, this joke of a coach has been so unprofessional since taking over at Tennessee, that it should be embarrassing Vols fans. I'm sorry dew, don't take this the wrong way, but I hope Alabama/UF/GA and LSU strings up Kiffin on the scoreboard. Lane Kiffin needs to learn some lessons about humility. And pissing off the powers of the SEC is NEVER a good thing for your career. Good fans like you and Hosak deserve a much better representation of the university then Lane Kiffin. Don't you mean CLK? I don't think I can express how disappointed I was when I saw this joke was taken.

Carlos Perez at Peoria. Good, Peoria seemed to be the weakest anyway. I read in more than one place since I made that post that he's likely to be ST help, and that seems to make the most sense.

Surprising we'd be signing catchers with how many decent options we have throughout the different levels. Iowa: Koyie Hill, Welington Castillo Tenn: Chris Robinson, Mark Reed/Steve Clevenger Daytona: Reed/Clevenger, Luis Flores, Luis Bautista? Peoria: Mario Mercedes, Mike Brenly Boise: Matt Cerda, 2009 draftees Obviously it's not a collection of future Sotos, but for most of them you could say without sarcasm that they have at least a small chance of carving out a MLB future as a backup.

All I know is that the cubs had him working on core training, something that was non-existant in his workout when he played in japan/last year. That's about all I've heard. What's core training? Abdominal, oblique, and back strengthening stuff, to my understanding.

For the 4th time, can you explain how UZR measures defensive performance? To answer your question, the reason for fluctuations based on those factors is because it's a measure of performance, not ability, as well as outliers coming from UZR's imperfections. -

It's awful because it is not a reliable tool. Why should a player's defensive ability fluctuate with whomever is on the mound, or in a different ballpark, or vary wildly from year to year? I know you don't think I know anything about UZR, but I do. I'm just skeptical of judgment aids that are so unreliable. If you do know, then explain it.
