  1. Baseball reference stuff isn't tabbed. If you used ESPN, it wouldn't look that way. RK PLAYER TEAM AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS 1 Chipper Jones ATL 439 82 160 24 1 22 75 4 0 90 61 .364 .470 .574 1.044 2 Albert Pujols STL 524 100 187 44 0 37 116 7 3 104 54 .357 .462 .653 1.114 3 Manny Ramirez BOS/LAD 552 102 183 36 1 37 121 3 0 87 124 .332 .430 .601 1.031 4 Joe Mauer MIN 536 98 176 31 4 9 85 1 1 84 50 .328 .413 .451 .864 5 Dustin Pedroia BOS 653 118 213 54 2 17 83 20 1 50 52 .326 .376 .493 .869 6 Milton Bradley TEX 414 78 133 32 1 22 77 5 3 80 112 .321 .436 .563 .999 7 Matt Holliday COL 539 107 173 38 2 25 88 28 2 74 104 .321 .409 .538 .947 8 Ian Kinsler TEX 518 102 165 41 4 18 71 26 2 45 67 .319 .375 .517 .892 9 Magglio Ordonez DET 561 72 178 32 2 21 103 1 5 53 76 .317 .376 .494 .869 10 Cristian Guzman WAS 579 77 183 35 5 9 55 6 5 23 57 .316 .345 .440 .786

  3. Maclin to the Bears makes me sad.
  4. Good to see Tepesch get on track against a good opponent. And especially good for Mizzou to snap their 7 game skid to end the season opening road trip.
  5. The omnipresence of people relating everything to Illinois regardless of topic makes that difficult.
  6. Is that Hightower and Tom O'Neill doing a game together?
  7. Hart had a K and a HBP in a scoreless 7th. Stanton had a 1-2-3 4th inning, and Mateo had a K in a perfect 8th.
  8. lol. Can't blame a 25 point blowout on reffing. Were there any 3-second five-second calls? I'd love a round 3, but chances are it'll have to be in the Big 12 finals. And chances are, you'll have to beat OU in OKC to get there. So I don't see it happening. Oh no, we didn't lose because of officiating, the losing made the officiating irritating. And yeah, it'll have to be in the B12 championship. I don't think it's too likely, but I'll have to see how Wednesday goes before being sure.
  9. I honestly think Mizzou went 0 for jump shots in the first half, I've never seen anything like that. I'm also pretty sure I got fouled by Cole Aldrich during the game, but maybe I'm just bitter. I want a Round 3.
  10. Yep, he walked 3 times and almost 6 seconds went off the clock before they gave Duke the timeout. Criminal.
  11. I don't see that as saying they were equals at all. That was a response to all the people saying they had "never liked Hill" for nebulous reasons pertaining more to assumptions about his mentality and personality than his actual performance. where did anyone say anything remotely near that?
  12. With that many players per team gone, I think you need a pitcher with some guaranteed production, since Price is a bit of a wildcard and is your only arm right now. Oswalt's been steady at giving 200 IP of good production, although on this year's Astro team he probably will get jobbed out of a couple wins.
  13. I say Oswalt.
  14. Cal-UCLA has been a good one, Cal leads 34-32 at the half. UCLA had a 7 point play where they drew an intentional foul and still made the basket, made both FTs, then got a 3. I kinda agree with the announcers that it doesn't seem fair. Maybe they should consider adding a provision that if the team makes the shot on the intentional foul, they don't get the extra possession, just the two shots.
  15. This thread would have died a couple pages ago if people hadn't invented points to argue against and attributed them to other people.
  16. Saw this comparison on a broadcast today and thought it was interesting. Using Sagarin's numbers: Team A: 21-7, 38 SOS, 1-3 v. Top 25, 6-6 v. Top 50, worst loss is #62, 1-2 against common opponents Team B: 21-8, 67 SOS, 0-3 v. Top 25, 4-6 v. Top 50, worst loss is #67, 2-1 against common opponents Obviously Team A should be put ahead, but how much? Lunardi has Team A(UCLA) as a 5 seed and Team B(aTm) as one of the first few out.
  17. Oklahoma State is reaming Texas. Barnes has done a horrible job this year with the talent he has on that team.
  18. I'm pretty sure Baseball Cube's ratings are 100% based on statistics. Baseball Intellect, Driveline Mechanics, and SaberScouting(although it hasn't been updated in forever) are all sites I've enjoyed reading, and free sites like Hardball Times, Rotoworld, and even BA will have free content on prospects from time to time.
  19. Cruz is better than Gregg, but the first rounder will probably be a better prospect than Ceda. Plus we aren't locked into a long term commitment to a reliever with Gregg.
  20. Smart move for Kansas City. Cruz and Soria is a nice back end of the pen, and their first rounder is protected.
  21. That's so lame that Thabeet can leave the game and let a guard shoot his free throws then come in a possession later.
  22. This is a smart deal. Koskie's performance never declined, so if he's healthy and recovered from the head stuff, then he could be a nice asset. Plus, we're already 1 for 1 in helping concussion-addled players turn in good seasons.
  23. I would really hope the Cubs don't consider Barney a roadblock for anybody. I'd honestly rather see Ryan Harvey playing there. I know you and Barney are best buds, but he's not so much worse than Samson that you'd ignore him entirely. Plus, you aren't going to have Samson skip a level with his age and past performance, so it's not really an issue in that case.
