I really like Cornell as a 1st round draw. Marquette would be an interesting game. I'm not sure how we'd do against Memphis, but I hate them and think we had a better resume so I want to get to Glendale and work them over.

I hope CBS's high quality stream is as good for the games as it is for the selection show. Phenomenal picture quality for a stream.

Man, our bracket didn't even make the list. What a crock. ;) The scoring system is real simple, if someone wanted to they could compare our results from previous years. -
there defense really impressed me in the game i saw the other night. so i looked up some of their stats. in their three big 12 tourney games, baylor scored 16 less than their average, osu 22 less, and texas tech 18 less. if they can keep playing great defense like that, they might make a serious run. Mizzou's defense is their calling card, but they were also playing opponents with less rest than them. Perfect for a team who wants to wear you down like Mizzou does. I'm really hoping against hope they get to play in KC, because they'd get a similar atmosphere to their home games where they were so difficult to take down.

Duke over UConn is a hard sell for me. I also like Wake Forest for a 2 seed at Memphis' expense, but I don't expect that to be a popular notion. -

Seriously. I just looked it up and Scheyer leads the team at 37%, their team percentage is 157th in the country.

Is it legal to T up Scheyer for falling down every time someone shoots near him? If not it ought to be.

Maybe he will. Even if he doesn't get a ton of opportunity, the difference between what Fontenot will likely do with those limited at bats and what Miles will do is small enough to be more than covered by variance. I don't really care if there's no left handed hitters in the lineup against LHP. First of all, if Fukudome starts hot or Fontenot earns a full time gig, that might not even be true. Secondly, I'm not worried about it for relief pitching purposes since our LH side of the bench is much stronger(Fukudome, Fontenot, Hoffpauir), plus Bradley and Miles are switch hitters. And thirdly, unless there's more evidence than a quote from Andy Pettitte saying he's more comfortable against all RHP, I find it hard to believe there's a significant impact to having a solid RH lineup against LHP.

A platoon is fine, Fontenot hasn't fared so well against LHP in his short MLB career. Plus, it's Lou, so he's going to change his mind a bunch of times. What ends up happening is much more important than Lou's intentions for PT.

Hopefully Scheyer got kneed in the throat on his last flop.

Miles taking at bats from Fontenot v. LHP and occasionally Theriot v. RHP is not a big deal.

I'm morbidly curious how many shots Illinois can miss. It's not like they're being outclassed by their opponent at that end, they just aren't making anything, ever.

Why does the organization care if some guy who works at the stadium thinks it's dumb that they let Dawkins go? How far do you take that? Are you prohibited from cheering for another team if you work for the Eagles in any fashion?

Yes, Brady Anderson hit a bunch of home runs one year, therefore baseball for the last 10-15 years was a half step above blurnsball. -
