  1. You have enough time to pull up the other games and pick one while the announcers throw it to a TV timeout. Problem right now is that there's been multiple games on TV timeout so I see ads regardless.
  2. Yeah, I think Sampson bobbed before Pittman's elbow took some teeth as a trophy.
  3. haha, Cal looks like complete garbage. It's like they don't even want to be playing.
  4. They filled it in, so now it's just a big dirt lot next to Busch instead of a big dirt sinkhole next to Busch. Well, until they do this I guess.
  5. Thanks for beating the Celtics, with the Cavs beating the Magic it's given them a stranglehold on the 1 seed. Still gotta keep in front of LA to get homecourt for the potential Finals matchup though.
  6. Because I like Milledge better than him at the moment. I got him because he's a real safe pick to couple with the performance gamble of Bruce and Lastings.
  7. 12 Teams, 5x5, H2H C: Soto 1B: Loney 2B: Stewart or Hudson SS: Reyes 3B: Youkilis OF: Beltran OF: Bruce OF: Milledge UT: V. Martinez BN: Burrell, Stewart/Hudson, Hermida SP: Sabathia SP: Billingsley P: Cain P: Cueto P: Danks RP: Broxton RP: Capps BN: Lyon, Marshall My initial impression is that as long as Bruce, Milledge, and Hermida don't all tank, my offense should be good. Pitching may be more sketchy with Cain, Cueto and Danks, but there's always more surprise starters that get picked up.
  8. Yeah, as long as KU remembers Aldrich is there(they've forgotten about him before), then they're going to run over NDSU. They can try to zone to help on him, but then Collins will just cut through the lane all day.
  9. I could see Mizzou losing to just about anybody beyond the first round, but if there's one thing they do well, it's dominate teams with lesser athletes. Mizzou hasn't been upset in that fashion by a small conference school since Anderson came on 3 years ago. I also want to be on record calling Cal shooting Memphis out of the tournament.
  10. Syracuse won't make the second weekend. I guess Gonzaga could beat UNC, but I think they're too likely to get knocked off before then to feel too confident picking them.
  11. Ho-lee Crap. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=628629&sec=world&&&cc=5901
  12. Yeah, I though they would be in as well. 64/65 teams in. 34/65 teams on the correct line. 59/65 within one line. Might want to recount on a few of those since I did it quick, but not too bad. Not bad at all. Actually, really really good. Other than Utah and Wisconsin (and Arizona), the bracket was very reasonable. Using the Paymon score from the link earlier, we scored a 319. That's better than every projection except bracketography.com, and there were 61 different projections tracked by the project. That's outstanding.
  13. First run through, I came up with Michigan State over UNC, with UConn and Nova rounding out the final 4. I also had Cleveland State, Temple, and Cal as upset 2nd weekend teams.
  14. You make much more money this way, getting better crowds and reducing travel expenses. Plus, it gives incentives for teams to earn a good seed. North Carolina is clearly a top team, it should be hard to eliminate them from the tournament.
  15. Yeah, it's pretty shady to put NDSU in Minneapolis. They don't have much in the way of size though, so Aldrich should go crazy.
  16. OU has a very weak half of the bracket, I was ready to pick them to an early exit but I don't see anyone that can do it.
  17. Wisconsin didn't beat anyone better than Illinois or Ohio State. Minnesota beat Louisville and Illinois, plus they swept Wisconsin
  18. I really like Cornell as a 1st round draw. Marquette would be an interesting game. I'm not sure how we'd do against Memphis, but I hate them and think we had a better resume so I want to get to Glendale and work them over.
  19. haha, congratulations on your 9 seed Siena, now go to Dayton and play Ohio St.
  20. I hope CBS's high quality stream is as good for the games as it is for the selection show. Phenomenal picture quality for a stream.
  21. Man, our bracket didn't even make the list. What a crock. ;) The scoring system is real simple, if someone wanted to they could compare our results from previous years.
  22. there defense really impressed me in the game i saw the other night. so i looked up some of their stats. in their three big 12 tourney games, baylor scored 16 less than their average, osu 22 less, and texas tech 18 less. if they can keep playing great defense like that, they might make a serious run. Mizzou's defense is their calling card, but they were also playing opponents with less rest than them. Perfect for a team who wants to wear you down like Mizzou does. I'm really hoping against hope they get to play in KC, because they'd get a similar atmosphere to their home games where they were so difficult to take down.
  23. And here's Bracketology 101's final bracket. They've been the most accurate the past 3 years. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OxkZF8Xm-iI/Sb1kjyiz4bI/AAAAAAAABKM/3gA_fso-BRU/s400/B101_2009_FINAL_2.JPG
  24. I'm going to be very angry that Mizzou isn't going to play in KC because Memphis and/or Oklahoma take a spot there instead.
