  1. This is not an exaggeration at all. Freaking amazing.
  2. Hey, I think that's me! Haha, yep that was you.
  3. I hate Le'Veon Bell. That is all.
  4. sure would suck to lose a couple players over some piddly old rape! I'm not sure where I made light of anything. I stated the players were suspended, identified them for people who didn't know them and then said this would really suck for a lot of reasons if it's true.
  5. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KwNpS3HlPMU/TEUB2zHExCI/AAAAAAAAExY/l1NJlaUhmWo/s1600/RackMultipart_21668_0_display_image.jpg Haha, well we've managed to get the Steelers back into the lead and looking like they're going to win. No reason to play to win now, time to play for the Duck.
  6. Man, the Titans can't even lose right. Quit beating the Steelers and keep the draft position high.
  7. As for the game, I don't think Missouri is as good as their 8-2 record would indicate, but this is still going to be the toughest of the three winnable games stretch (SC, UK, Missouri). It'll be that much tougher if Johnson isn't available for the game. If Dobbs can keep up the way he's been playing since becoming the starter and the defense can force Mauck into some mistakes, we have a shot. Ultimatley, though, I think Missouri wins a close, tough game. Then Tennessee becomes bowl eligible against Vandy.
  8. So two Tennessee players have been suspended after rape allegations against them from an alleged incident Sunday morning. One is Michael Williams (a decent freshman) and the other is probably the best player on the team - LB AJ Johnson. There are reasons to disbelieve the allegations (2 girls involved, but only 1 is pressing charges while the other apparently just went back home), but this sucks in a bunch of ways if it's true.
  9. I would think so too, but I've heard there were issues between him (or his wife) and the fanbase. I'm thinking she didn't like the fans' attitudes when he took the Mississippi State job or something similar. A whole lot of money could clearly make up for a lot of those hard feelings, but I also think RichRod is the better coach so if you're going to throw large sums of money at somebody, might as well make it him.
  10. The big problem with Muschamp, from what I've seen, is the development of players. Sure, not all the losses this year were directly a result of poor coaching decisions, but Florida should not have been in the position to lose those games. For a ridiculous number of years (dating back through Urban Meyer and even Ron Zook), UF has been getting fantastic recruiting classes. That's not changed under Muschamp. However, what has changed is the performance on the field. The players simply haven't been developing and performing the way they should have and that has to be placed significantly (though not exclusively) on the coaching staff. I am typically very conservative when it comes to coaching changes, but I think it was time for Muschamp to go. Now the key is Florida making the right move to replace him and they have the tradition, location and money to get whoever they want. My uninformed prediction is Rich Rodriguez is their next HC and they get really good, really fast.
  11. Josh Dobbs is a really, really fun player to watch.
  12. Georgia's pretty good, but probably only the 4th or 5th best team in the SEC depending on how you feel about Auburn (Miss St, Alabama, Ole Miss all ahead of both). My comment was directed to stuy's comparison of UGA's and FSU's wins over Clemson. For a team like Georgia that isn't a serious contender for the national title, it's a pretty good win. For a team like FSU that is supposed to be one of the two or three best teams in the country (and probably is), it's a win they absolutely should have gotten (and did). Quality of win is relative to the quality of the team getting the win. Beating South Carolina was a huge win for Tennessee, but if a national title contender held that win up as something impressive, they'd be rightfully mocked.
  13. I haven't seen anybody argue that UGA is a particularly good team on a national level. It's the SEC West teams - Miss St., Bama, Ole Miss, Auburn - that people say are really good. And if anybody tries to argue that Georgia is a particularly good team, they're embarrassing themselves after that loss to UF.
  14. Supposedly Hillman got dinged during the game. This week has been frustrating. I had him, I dropped the GB defense for KC after Watkins got hurt, Demaryius somehow didn't catch one of Peyton's 5 touchdowns, and my opponent pulled Jared Cook off the scrap heap. I should still win if Maclin and Olsen do what they should, but it's no guarantee. I was feeling really good in my main league when Dez gave me 27.9 points and several of my opponent's guys were struggling. Then Marshawn Lynch played and I had no shot anymore. And I heard Hillman got dinged, but I'm still really nervous.
  15. I expect us to go flat at any time.
  16. Ronnie Hillman is awesome the entire time Montee Ball is hurt so what do the Broncos do? Inexplicably give CJ Anderson twice the carries Hillman had today. So much for that great waiver wire pickup I thought I had.
  17. I would do that and I wouldn't really think much about it. Jordy has become an elite WR and is Rodgers' favorite target on by far one of the best offense in the NFL. Denard is an interesting RB with upside, but plays on a terrible team that's going to be fighting from behind most of the time. Wallace is a really nice WR who has finally shown consistency, but lacks the big time upside Nelson can give you (2 20+ point games for Jordy, Wallace never above 12) and is on a decent offense that relies more on the run than the pass. Add on to that the fact that you have no depth problems at all (Bell/Ingram should never sit at RB, Maclin/Watkins/Gordon all very good to great options at WR even if you trade Wallace/Denard) and I think it's a great trade for you.
  18. And their best player is coming back in Week 12.
  19. The results have sucked for Tennessee, but we're not a pushover. We've played one of the toughest schedules in the nation and we've been competitive in all but 2 of them (OU and Ole Miss) and even those were close for the vast majority of the game.
  20. Since Oct. 6, 2013, Florida has gone 4-10 with a loss to Georgia Southern. They've not been playing good football under Muschamp for a long time now until yesterday. Sure, they played great against a Georgia team that inexplicably couldn't stop the run even though Florida didn't even bother to pretend they wanted to throw the ball. However, that doesn't erase these stats: vs Alabama: gave up 672 total yards; gained 200 total yards vs Tennessee: gained 232 yards and scored 10 pts against a team likely to finish .500 or worse vs Missouri: 6 turnovers including each of a kick, punt, fumble and INT return for TDs Those aren't flukes. Those are examples of Florida playing very bad football. One game doesn't change that.
  21. If Butch has done anything at Tennessee, it's get the players behind him and believing they can do anything. My only real concerns with Butch are how well does he develop players and how well can he and his coaches do in-game (strategy and adjustments). I'm starting to think Butch could be the long term answer at Tennessee, but I think he'll need to make coaching staff changes. He's very loyal to these guys, though, so we'll see if he does it.
  22. What a huge win for Tennessee. First win in Columbia since 2006, first SEC win of the year and, most importantly, the 4th win of the year. Now we need to just beat 2 of Missouri/UK/Vandy and that's doable since Vandy is a near guaranteed win. Dobbs and Hurd were absolutely terrific tonight, though the offensive line had some struggles and the defense was largely nonexistent most of the night. All 3 of this group of games (SC/UK/Mizz) were basically coinflips I figure, so it's nice to get one win in quickly.
  23. Dobbs and Hurd played great overall, but yeah, SC's defense just disappeared from about 2 minutes left in the game and on.
  24. Josh Dobbs is a really exciting football player. If he can improve his accuracy, he'll be a great QB.
