  1. Stoogetv.com password is stoogetv if it asks for one. this is the one i plan on using today. i watched the bears/vikes game on this site.
  2. The offenses in the B12 are really freaking good.
  3. If Grossman fumbles a snap im going to throw my beer on the floor and go haywire. I hope the Titans try to pound the rock, i like CJ but i dont think he can grind down this defense, he might pop one or two but thats it. And if he does, well at least we can see this defense get beat differently this week. Titans passing O is CJ and TE Bo Scaife. Nobody on the outside scares me so id like to see some press man coverage and attack Collins in the pocket by bringing the heat.
  4. That's what I'm thinking. I doubt we'd go as high as Saban's Bama contract, but cost is not a real big concern for the university right now. The economy may be down, but I haven't heard that our bigger donors are struggling and the SEC just signed that mega-monster deal with ESPN and each school is getting quite the hefty chunk of it. Unless he just doesn't want the challenge (which I sincerely doubt), I see no way Leach turns down an offer from Tennessee - if they offer. They dont have to go that stupid high for him, even though they could afford it. Bama needed to do it to pry him away from an NFL salary. Leach makes $1.75M. Tressel and Rodriguez both make around $2.5M, i could see something similar to that.
  5. Yeah and the Big XII is like the MAC when it comes to challenges. He should actually welcome going to the SEC.
  6. Petrino or Saban whose it gonna be..... Mike Leach. Dude comes back to the SEC brings in Tony Franklin(they coached together at UK) and they really run the Airraid offense and whoop up on Auburn, that would be awesome. I gotta believe the D at Tech is more a product of the recruiting than it is of the coaching. He'll definetly get better players at UT on the defense side of the ball. I have a hard time imagining Tech can come anywhere close to the salary of UT. Hell they just bought out Fullmer for $6M.
  7. If Joe doesnt retire this year and Bradley isnt named the HC somebody needs to throw him some $$.
  8. Im having a hard time seeing Utah as a top 10 or BCS team. Of the teams Michigan has lost to Utah is probably the 3rd least impressive teams ive seen them lose to this year. Hell Wisky gave UM the game and the first half they did more to Michigan than Utah did over any such stretch. The Utah game was UM's first game and they shot themselves so many times in the foot with fumbles and botched plays on offense, it looks good in the box score for Utah but not necessarily because of what they did but what UM did to themselves.
  9. Guys its a well known fact that when a good B10 team loses to a bottom of the rung team it just shows the top of conference isnt all that good. And when a good SEC loses to a bottom of the rung team it just shows the enormous depth and competitiveness of the conference. There are no upsets in the SEC.
  10. Not necessarily a bad thing. I want to see Roach play (and Hunter on the bench) anyway. I'm a big Jamar Williams fan, but he hasn't shown me anything when he's been out there this season. Ill be interested to see this too. Id like to see how well he can cover a TE. HH is pretty good at that aspect. Id also like to see Manning back in the nickel rotation, at least this week if he's not McBride can play the slot rather than play on the edge(not that he's terrible on the edge). JSC. I really expected him to be very below average at LT, he has been a nice surprise to me. I had visions of Mike Gandy this year. This was one reason i supported not placing CWilliams on IR. Now that Williams is getting closer to being on the field im not sure im in as much hurry as i was earlier to replace JSC with him. If Williams is inserted in the LT spot i am all for moving JSC to RG, maybe LG and move JB to RG but seems like a major reshuffle.
  11. That WAS all kind of awesome. paraphrase "i told him to go take and shower and then come back and be on the sidelines, hed be a better help to the team doing that"
  12. Just got this in email this morning. Some funny ones.... Q. What do you call 47 millionaires around a TV watching the Super Bowl? A. The Detroit Lions. Q. What do the Detroit Lions and Billy Graham have in common? A. They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell 'Jesus Christ'. Q. How do you keep the Detroit Lions out of your yard? A. Put up a goal post. Q. Where do you go in Detroit in case of a tornado? A. To Ford Field - they never have a touchdown there! Q. What's the difference between the Detroit Lions and a dollar bill? A. You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill. Q. How many Detroit Lions does it take to win a Super Bowl? A. Nobody knows and we may never find out. Q. What do the Detroit Lions and a possums have in common? A. Both play dead at home and get killed on the road.
  13. Blabber time. I liked RT game plan, KO gets the most credit though. I like the 3rd and 8 reverse to Rashied at the end. They werent going to get 8 with Forte and there was a possiblity that the Vikes might over pursue that play, it didnt work out but i liked it. RT offense is exceding the talent, you cant knock the overall performance of his O. Bears are going to get a sup 3rd for Berrian. Another Oline spot. They need RT or any guard. Pass rushing DE could be anywhere from rd 1 to 4. Ogun isnt quite Phillips Daniels but he is getting close. He played really good last year so i have hope, he shouldnt of fallen that far in one year. Urlachers coverage in the flat on Peterson on the 4th an 1 was fantastic. Parity. Can we call it parity at the top, (is that a john maddenism?). There is always going to be doormats but i dont see a runaway winner in the NFC. I really thought the cowboys had it with their offense (its not too late) but their defense needs to be at least top 15 for it to come together for 2-3 playoff games.
  14. Screw the draft, Super Bowl baby :) . Yes the Bears have flaws but so do the best in then NFC and the Bears have shown they can beat/hang with those teams. SB unlikely(hey why not...see the Tampa Ray Bays), but not out of the realm of possiblity. D needs to step up the pass defense to their capabilities. Does this defense really need Vasher and Tillman that bad, because they sure have slipped without them. At the beginning of the season it was dont screw it up kyle, now he is actually winning games for this team.
  15. Bears entire pass d needs to step up. Booker, cmon.
  16. haha PSU 98% over UM. This is what it will look like tomorrow baring a TO fiasco or McGuffie pulls a Biakabutka. :flame:
  17. The Dline hasnt been successful in producing sacks thats for sure. But as for run defense they have been blowing up plays in the backfield, i give them points for that. The Bears did a terrible job last week on 3rd and long, they didnt get sacks but at least they had some pressure. Last week i point more to coverage and schemes than on the dlines/blitzing lack of sacks. Without Vasher and Tillman it looks like they drop the press coverage like they were playing earlier in the year with those guys. Mark Anderson. Maybe he can get a sack too. Im not optimistic they win this one.
  18. If the queen had balls. Even such as simple task/event as an extra point can't be excluded from determining the outcome of the game. Who is to say they kick the PAT and still end up losing the game in OT. That event alone wouldnt of won the game for them.
  19. They've got a long ways to go though, I think it's going to be at least 3 years before they are actually good. They might make some noise before then, but they are worse than the Wanny Bears. I agree. They have a lot of holes to fill and only after a couple drafts will they then get filled. And they are missing key elements to a team, not just quantity. LT/QB/RB(Kevin Smith?)G's. Entire DL except for Redding, CBs. Now on to the Giants who again play another creampuff this week. Ive seen too many in media give this team high praise, best team, 2nd best, etc. The G's only have 1 good win, Washington (opening night 16-7...ooooh). Until they play some better teams i think the talk of them being one of the better teams in the NFL is without merit. When they play Pitt, Philly, Dallas etc. then we will know more where they stand.
  20. I was wondering about anyone taking State over OSU this weekend. Hopefully ill be able to catch some of this game. State has been real close in doing it but have blown it in the 4th quarter. It would be about damn time they win one.
  21. Despite the score Minnesota kicked Detroits ass yesterday. The only thing DET did well was get a 50 yard run and had some sacks against Gus. Forte will have a hard time running the ball, maybe they can get it to him via the pass? A lot is riding on Ortons shoulders to win this one. If the Lions can sack Gus, the Bears should be able to as well. Going into the Atlanta game the Bears were #1 with 90 blitzes, so i dont look for any dropoff this weekend. Vasher should be back, Tillman i havent heard anything about. I am concerned with the injuries in the secondary, hopefully things wont be serious. Orton hasnt gotten booed because he hasnt laid those ginourmous turds like Rex would. Right now i would be surprised if Orton lays one of those huge turds this year. There have been times where the O has had trouble moving the ball but they got out of the funk, and overall Orton has made some good decisions with ball, where and where not to go with it. He has been steady.
  22. I think its a pretty safe bet PSU will end its nine game losing streak to Michign this week. Hell even Morelli could win this game for them.
  23. Im having a hard time seeing PSU not running the table in B10. The only way they lose to OSU is by being sloppy with the ball AND giving OSU a short field to work with.
  24. Matt Ryan played a great game, i didnt think he had it in him. The Falcons run game was not a threat but Ryan made good decisions and solid throws to carry them. He impressed me today. My Ron Turner weekly rant. 3rd and 1 on the 1 and they give the ball to McKie. Why is he getting the ball in important situations!? Its not fooling other teams(oh no its McKie, what are we going to do to stop him!). This line is not good enough to blow holes and plow people over for FB dives and play rugby football. 4th and 1 and no change in personel, Turner decides to go 1950 on our ass and run a T formation with Olson as a lead blocker. Again they run a freaking dive up the middle. Why not run Forte wide or offtackle so he at least has options to use his cutback ability, lateral moves and vision. Forte is not TJ Duckett. I dont want to see either of those plays again. There are many reasons the Bears lost this game, so im not blaming this solely on RT. Hester is looking solid and Orton had another good game. Id like to see a replay of the squib kick again. At first blush it looked like an awful squib kick from Guild.
  25. I was having a hard time figuring out how NYG defense could be so bad ass without Strahan and OSI. Well they have played Washington, STL, Cincy and Seattle. Not exactly offensive juggernauts. Cleveland kinds sucks this year so that doesnt appear to be much of a challenge either. And something of interest found looking at the QBs stats this year. Cassel sacked 15 times this year. 104 PA 2007 Brady sacked 21 times. 578 PA
