    Westgate and Bookmaker have lines at 84.5 Im gonna smash the over, probably also do an under on the Cards. Darvish at 30-1 cy young I think is a good number too. His 2nd half turnaround was amazing, don’t think that was a fluke. I always do a Cubs World Series bet, that’s my ‘homer’ bet. Hey 2016 was a good $ win! I won’t be hitting that as hard as the O/U Win total

    PECOTA; Cubs 82 wins. I hope vegas is watching and will follow close to this number. Odds on Bovada are not up yet. I’m going to hid this hard.

    Well if super utility is or isn't a thing isn't the point. how many games do you guys think schwarbs will start in LF, I'm using that as a factor as well in how much zobrist is in LF. Zobrist started 113 at 2b last year, I sure don't see that number going up with how awesome javy defense at 2b is.

    Baez has crazy def value at 2nd plus his bat there is a bonus, way more than at 3b. Bryant shouldn't be in the OF near as much as last year(36GS) with schwarbs/zobrist. If zobrist starts more at 2b than javy that's a jar full of planters peanuts nuts. At worst a 50-50 split. Zobrist is super utility with Jorge gone from LF, he's filling in for those starts.

    Further proof this 91W projection is tar tar. Baez would still have a positive defense value if he played with his batting glove and not fielding glove at 2b. 133PA? That's like 30 games, dudes gonna start at least 100 at 2b. He's gonna be a better hitter too, bar none.

    PECOTA 91 wins? Puuuuuhlease. This team is better than last year, gonna be tough to beat 103+ but they ain't winning 91 I'll tell you that. They will win 91 before the all star break.

    Mendy hits 20 giving the Cubs 6 20+HR guys( I can't think of any team having that). This team won't have the sick OBP of the 98 Yankees but they will be right there with them in terms of having a power balanced lineup. They are going to pound the hell out of the ball this year. Poundtown

    The cutler national press has changed a lot this week. I even read a cutler for MVP article(which is absurd). Tom Jackson is the silly one this week with the 'cutler persona stereotype' Other teams aren't going to risk $ on an injured Louis unless he doesn't get an offer. He is a Bear. Chris spencer Sox, lets see Edwin Williams. Carmi at Rg is interesting, he is a run blocker and that's where you put the big guys. Louis can play LG with his size and mobility. He is not a RG typical mauler. He is athletic. Brandon Marshall is a beast! Bears need Jeffery on the other side. I like Bennett but he is more of a slot guy and damn good slot guy!

    Carmini demoted. This isn't a one game knee jerk reaction, his play hasn't warranted further starts. Just because you are a first rounder doesn't give you leeway for sustained periods of poor poopy play.

    I'd like to see Scott replace carmini this week. Gabe has been awful lately and isn't deserving of a starting spot.

    Is there some place that keeps track of plays longer than say 20 or 40 yards? I'm having a hard time coming up with any big play against the bears this year. The fake fg in Green Bay is the only one coming to my mind.

    Im glad this year is over. I spent more time reading box scores the next day than actually watching games this year.

    Jags DVOA pass defense equally as bad as rush defense. Jags DVOA rush offense is 10 so that should be a good test for the Bears. Bears rush defense is currently ranked 18 but i feel they are a better team in that regard. Lance Briggs is having his best year, he is playing out of his mind. I LOVE what Marinera is doing with the dline and defense. All the twists, stunts, dropping shea in coverage, he is really mixing it up and being aggressive. Has major wright turned the corner and become and good safety? he is making some nice plays out there. I like what tice did with moving marshall around last game, its hard to double team him in the slot. Marshall is such a bad ass. Its fun having a guy like him on the Bears.

    I'd like to see Williams replace spencer. I think that is a bigger upgrade than him over Webb. Now that Scott is the swing tackle move Williams back to LG where he was above average last year.

    Marshall was awesome. Him and jay are going to roll this year. Forte was awesome. He's damn good.

    Up by 5 runs in the 5th is not a 'lock' W. swinging 3-0 is not a big deal.
